Inglot #25 Liquid Eyeliner Review

By Srilata Jain

Hello, IMBBians,

This is going to be my very first review and I am very excited to be a part of this amazing big happy family. I love makeup, like all of us here, but eyeliners and lipsticks are my biggest obsession. Keeping my excitement under control, I’ll move straight to the review. 😀 So today, I’ll be reviewing Inglot Liquid Eyeliner in the shade number 25.

Inglot #25 Liquid Eyeliner Review

Price: $12 for 4ml
Product Description: High intensity pigments and an ultra-fine applicator guarantees high precision and solid colour with this quick drying liquid liner that doesn’t smudge. Silicones protect the skin and smoothen textural differences ensuring flawless application.

My Experience with Inglot #25 Liquid Eyeliner:

I love Inglot as a brand because it offers some amazing products and also because it does not test on animals. I was looking for a good eyeliner when I saw a girl on the Inglot counter wearing a matte eyeliner that looked beautiful. So, I asked her what she was wearing. She showed me the product and on asking how long it lasts she suggested that it lasts on her for more than 8 hours, and I was pretty convinced. So, I thought of giving it a try and bought it.

Shade: This is the shade number is 25 and it is a beautiful matte black colour.

Packaging: The pack includes a tiny black bottle with a slim tall cap, which is a pretty standard looking packaging. But, somehow the bottle is very photogenic and chic. The cap is really tight and there is absolutely no chance of spillage whatsoever, so it is travel-friendly.

Applicator: Like I mentioned above, the cap is slim and tall which gives better handling and control. The applicator is a long felt tip one, which is very pointy and can be used to draw the thinnest of lines. Even though the applicator is soft, it is not that flexible, which is a pro for beginners. Still, for others, it can be a con. But, after a few uses, the tip becomes get a little flexible. The applicator looks thicker than it actually is because of the excess product on it. 😛

Formula: The formula is very watery (not a problem, though). It dries really quickly and sets to a matte finish. The colour is a beautiful rich black. The pigment is really dark but it doesn’t seem to blend well with the liquid in the formula. It gets separated which makes the application patchy. If the bottle is not shaken really well before use, the coverage won’t be opaque and will go on translucent in some areas, and hence more than one swipe will be required. You can notice this patchiness in the pictures.

Staying Power: The staying power of this liner makes me cry. I don’t know why the counter girl said it lasts over 8 hours. It gets really flaky and falls on the cheeks and under the eye within few hours and that is definitely not the look we are looking for. It also comes off really quick with a slight touch and rub. If you have watery eyes or if you live in humid climate never ever use this product unless it’s Halloween and you want to look like a zombie. People who perspire like me stay away from this because it will smear all over the place once you feel the heat.

It will literally bleed and will give you a panda look instantly. 😛 With all that said, sometimes is smears and give the most beautiful cut crease on the outer corner of the eye that I take a moment to appreciate and give excuses to cope up with its staying power and show it some love but then I change my mind. 😛
