Thank you all for the overwhelming response to my first review on IMBB – Real Techniques Shading Brush. It dialed down my nervousness and inspired me to write again 🙂 Since, I already reviewed a shading brush, I thought why not acquaint you all with other brushes in my collection. Today’s review is on my must have contour brush – Inglot 3P.
About the product: Face Brush. Handle: wood. Hair: pony
Price: Around Rs. 1500 (Not sure if they hiked the prices further)
My thoughts on Inglot 3P Brush:
Over the time, I have realized the importance of having good makeup brushes. Initially when I started using blushes & contour powders, I used to apply it with my fingers. And once I started using makeup brushes my whole world literally changed, I mean using brushes gives far better results and finish then using fingers to blend products. Inglot 3P Brush was an impulsive buy. On my visit to Inglot store, I was really impressed by the way MUA contoured her cheeks and could not resist but ask and she was all praises about the Inglot 3P Brush.
Inglot 3P is an angled contouring brush, it is perfect for applying bronzer to give that chiselled and slimmer effect to the cheeks. I do not generally do contouring in my day to day routine, who has the time in the morning when you are running late for work! But I still like to contour my cheeks often for special times. Inglot 3P brush is made of pony hair, which I came to know later when I checked their website, I am a supporter for animal cruelty free brushes so this totally bummed me out. The quality of synthetic fibers is great and does not shed at all with regular washing & cleaning. It very well retains its shape and there is almost no fraying issues either.
Inglot 3P brush is extremely soft to touch and being a contour brush it is not so fluffy as a blush brush. It picks up the right amount of color & packs it on the cheeks in a defined line and angled shape helps sculpting the cheeks well. Unlike blush brushes, it does not blend the color once applied on the cheeks, so this cannot be substituted for blush brush. For blended blush effect, I suggest you use a blush brush only.
Pros of Inglot 3P Brush:
• One of the best quality contouring brush available in Indian market.
• Bristles are very very soft.
• Easy to wash & clean. Does not shed any hair.
• Retains its shape.
• Flawlessly contours the cheeks.
• Easily available in Inglot stores & can be purchased online too.
Cons of Inglot 3P Brush:
• Bristles are made from pony hair that means animals where harmed for the making of brush
• Cannot be used as a blush brush.
IMBB Rating: 3/5
Is it for you? If you are into contouring the cheeks then you should check it out but beware it is made of pony hair. And if you want to use it for applying blush then skip this brush. If you are against animal cruelty in makeup products then totally avoid it.
See you next time! Thanks for reading! 🙂
