Inglot #492 Double Sparkle Eye Shadow Review, EOTD

Hello girlies,

Today, I am going to share a very gorgeous purple/lilac eye shadow with all of you which is Inglot ye Shadow in #492 Double Sparkle. Read on to know how this eye shadow fared for me.

My experience with Inglot #492 Double Sparkle Eye Shadow:

Packaging:
These eye shadows come in a see-through black plastic pot. The pot is quite travel friendly, sturdy and made up of high quality plastic. Also, it has a screw lid instead of the traditional flip-open one. Being clumsy, I always drop things once in a while. However, even after dropping this pot several times, nothing bad has ever happened to it.

On the back of the pot, you will find the shade number and some other details written in white. For me, the packaging is all in all a winner. However if you ask me, I would have loved a mirror and a small brush with it: p (greedy me) but, considering that no brand generally provides a brush and mirror with single eye shadows I am okay with it. While travelling, I usually prefer carrying palettes with me instead of the single pots.

Texture and pigmentation:
The texture of this powder eye shadow is not at all chalky (like some other powder shadows), is super blendable and perfect for beginners. The eye shadow is not insanely pigmented and infact quite sheer. However, this is not really a con for me as I like building up the color gradually so that I don’t go overboard. Also, don’t forget to use the primer under this as a base. I have always used this eye shadow with a primer underneath and it has never creased or faded then.

Shade:
The shade is a very soft purple with very finely milled silver, purple and golden shimmer. However, on the lids the shimmer is barely noticeable and does not look OTT. Also, the shimmer is not chunky or big and blends in quite well. I highly doubt that if this shade will complement darker skin tones. Though, it’s a very chic shade for light-medium skin tones. I can proudly say that this has become my HG purple eye shadow.

Staying power:
This has stayed on my eye lids for over 6 hours when used with a primer underneath. I would like to mention here that I do not have oily eye lids. If you have oily eye lids, the staying power of this eye shadow might reduce considerably for you.

Pros of Inglot #492 Double Sparkle Eye Shadow:

• Sturdy packaging.
• Affordable for the quantity and quality.
• Not chalky
• Super duper blendable
• Intensity is buildable
• Perfect for beginners
• Very chic purple shade
• Staying power is quite decent

Cons of Inglot #492 Double Sparkle Eye Shadow:

• Wide array of shades to choose from.
• I hate it when Inglot number their products instead of naming them. Numbers tend to confuse me and I can’t recall them.
• People like me might find it difficult to carry single pots when we have the option of palettes.

IMBB rating:
4/5

Will I repurchase/do I recommend Inglot #492 Double Sparkle Eye Shadow?
No, I will not repurchase the same shade even when I love it so much. The reason is that I think life is too short to keep buying the same shades 😀 however, I will certainly pick up some other shades from the same range. I definitely recommend these single eye shadow pots to all you lovely ladies out there.
