Inglot AMC Cream Blush #81
Cream blushes are my bane…I love the idea of a cream blush but then I rarely use them cause I invariably always end up overdoing the product while applying. The fact that they don’t last on my oily skin is another strong deterrent. However, I still continue to buy them! Why God? Why??
The Product Details (from the website):
Jojoba oil, nylon and a complex mixtureof Spherical porous and non porous particlesgives this light and creamy formula its velvet finish on all skin types.
(That doesn’t say much, does it?)
Price:
INR 750 for 5.5gms product
Packaging:
A transparent plastic pot contains the product and has a black screw on cap. The product doesn’t appear very nice after a few uses – don’t know if it is unable to stand Mumbai heat or what but the product is pretty much all over inside the lid. It looks so messy. Plus the pot packaging isn’t really hygienic.
There is no mirror or applicator. The Bobbi Brown Lip and Cheek colours also used to come in a similar packaging – though a much bigger container. However, they have since, changed the packaging to a sleek compact with mirror (Check my review o
auty.com/bobbi-brown-lip-cheek-pot-rouge-coral-calypso/”>n Bobbi Brown Coral Calypso for the pics). Which allows application and touch ups on the move. And the Bobbi Brown product is also cream based but still solid enough not to create a mess inside the compact. I think Inglot too needs to do something to make up for these basic flaws in packaging design and product consistency.
My experience with the Product:
Color: The colour is a dark pink – probably the darkest in this range. Overdoing the colour can easily make you look like a clown or bruised. It has to be used ever so little.
For the pics, I have used it a tad heavily because I wanted the colour to show clearly. In a normal use, I would go much lighter.
This is not really a daily wear colour. On the contrary, when I wear this, I ensure that the rest of my makeup is lighter – including the lippy. Yes, I can see people wearing this with plummy winter shades. However, I feel myself shying from wearing strong colours on both cheek and lips. I’d rather wear a strong colour on the lips with a bronzer on my cheeks.
Texture: The texture is creamy but powdery – meaning it’s not as creamy as a face cream…its kind of thicker and drier. Not the easiest of textures to work with since it can easily go patchy.
Pigmentation: Pigmentation is amazing which is also reflective of the colour. It’s the darkest shade in Inglot AMC Cream blushes. So, even a little really goes a loooooong way. Rather a little bit extra is enough to make it look over the top and clownish.
Lasting power:The product lasted about 5 hours –fairly decent for a cream blush on an oily skin. I think layering with a powder brush could enhance the stay time.
Visibility on Skin: The colour is starkly visible – being so dark. Refer to the pics for how it looks on my NC 30 skin tone. Is it very flattering? I cant say. I do think I end up going overboard and don’t get the desired effect – maybe, I should have tried something lighter. But I feel the texture itself does not allow it to be applied smoothly or as evenly as one would wish.
To sum this up for you:
Pros of Inglot AMC Cream Blush #81
1. Intense colour
2. Great pigmentation
3. Decent lasting power
4. Does not accentuate pores
5. Did not break me out
6. Minimalistic, sturdy and smudge proof packaging
7. Paraben free
8. Not tested on animals
Cons of Inglot AMC Cream Blush #81:
1. No mirror or applicator – product packaging is an issue
2. Product consistency creates a mess within the box – undesirable.
3. Applies patchy
IMBB Rating:
Yes, a 2.5/5 product.
We use makeup to enhance our look and because its fun. However, if you open the box of a makeup product to find the product all messy – you are hardly going to use it. Plus, the colour, consistency and patchy application don’t real make a good product.
And while we are on the topic of Inglot – a quick heads up to all the readers. Inglot comes up with promotions from time to time. If the promotion is a discount off – go ahead with your purchases. However, if the promotion is buy “X” amount to get free products – steer clear of these. The free stuff is ALWAYS expired products and will be given to you without the outer covering/box which has the expiration date mentioned on it

You only hoard Lippies!!!! rofl rofl rofl How many Gurrrl! I’m sure if your collection of Lippies were to be kept end to end, we would reach US of A!!!
Aren’t cream blushes difficult to blend ? *waiting*
I used to find them difficult to apply – they would come out uneven, patchy, etc. 2 things make a difference her – the quality of product itself (of course) and the technique.
For technique – check Rati’s article – she makes it so easy!!
