Inglot AMC Lip Paint in shade 52 Review
Hi Everyone,
I am going to review another Inglot product today – the Inglot AMC Lip Paint in shade 52. I am sure all of you must have seen these babies at the Inglot counter by now. They just call out to you to at least test and swatch them. On one such occasion when this baby was calling out to me, I gave in to the temptation and bought it 😛
Price:
Rs. 720 for 4.5 gm.
Packaging:
Cute glass tub like the MAC paint pots.
Texture:
These are more like tinted lip creams that are absolutely buttery and soft on your lips. I don’t need to moisturize my lips before applying them. They are very hydrating. They are not sticky at all unlike most glosses from Revlon and Maybelline.
Shade:
The shade falls in the brown/peach family and is one of my favorites. I usually prefer such colors for office wear, as they are no-fuss colors. It’s a lovely peachy brown shade without shimmer and adds a nice tinted shine to the lips.
Here are the swatches:
Staying Power:
That’s where it doesn’t score. Because of the soft, buttery texture, they transfer easily like most glosses, fade after some time even without meals. They don’t stay for more than 1 hour on my lips without meals. Also, even though the color fades off, it still keeps your lips hydrated for a long time. Here are a couple of lip swatches:
Pros of Inglot AMC Lip Paint in shade 52:
- Lovely, gorgeous peachy-brown shade that would suit all skin tones.
- The shade would go well with bronzed makeup or dark eyes.
- Non-sticky.
- Extremely hydrating and the moisturizing effect stays for a long time even after the color has faded away.
- Doesn’t settle into the fine lines.
- Paraben free and not tested on animals, like all other Inglot products.
- Nice fruity smell.
- They double up as gloss and lip color.
- Very good for use during summers as they are very light and hydrating.
Cons of Inglot AMC Lip Paint in shade 52:
- I think they are a tad expensive as the colors and formula are not very unique. I would rather buy a gloss for the same price.
- You have to always use a lip brush for these, otherwise, you won’t be able to apply them evenly, at least I can’t.
- The staying power is a major letdown and even when it fades, it leaves behind an ugly-looking sheen that I am not particularly fond of. No nice rosy tints after fading 🙁
Overall Verdict:
I think they are pretty good even if they are a little expensive, and I would repurchase a few bright shades from this range. For people who are fond of tinted glosses, do give these a try!

I was eyeing this for a long time..and now I will not atleast for the staying power..Not staying for more than an hour & not even a slight tint ..dats bad..
Yes, being so soft n buttery their staying power is pretty bad.
awesome color! 🙂 but the price is a tad too high for me considering its low staying power 🙁
Yes I agree, I found their shade selection to be better than the similar lip paints by Colorbar…so I might pick up a couple more.
that’s a super pretty color. 🙂 i have used these long ago and quite liked it. loved the color on your lips. 🙂
🙂
Thanks Rati! Yeah I like it more or less except for the staying power.
aww man babies like these call me too a lot of times i just cantrollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!ha ha
this giving in to temptations is nothing not so familiar with yaha ki ladkiyan is it?lol
Women are born to give in to temptations…therefore I do it pretty often and blame it on my genes ;P
I quite like the color but yes I find them quite expensive..other option will be colorbar paint pots which are quite cheap
The colorbar ones are 500 a pop, isnt it? For the shade selection that they have I don’t find them too cheap either. I’d say ingl*t has a better shade selection
can u suggest any solid perfume in the affordable range? i would not mind the staying power if the price is within my reach
I haven’t used any, but I think you can try the ones from L’Occitane – they have a sale on their website right now and you are getting them for 350 or 360.
nice color but again tub packaging difficult to apply and expensiver too. thanks for reviewing!
Yes Neha, I find it very difficult to carry these in my bag for quick touch ups, because then I have to carry a lip brush too 🙁
I would buy some of these just for the formula! staying power is bad though 🙁
Yeah picking up 1 or 2 is fine I think
I love these but would have loved them to be in a tube. This gets too messy 🙁
Completely agree Dolon. Its not travel friendly at all!
Aarbee it looks quite pigmented in the swatch.. I like the color..
but sad that the staying power is not that great.. 🙁
I looooove the color, but doesnt look as pigmented on the lips and yeah…enough said about the staying power 🙁
I too have one from this range, and I agree with all the pro’s and cons listed by you… these just don’t stay… I use them over lippies sometimes…
Yes me too Ritu!
This is a beautiful color. These lip paints are another item on my list of Inglot products I’d love to try. There’s one color that looks so much like Nars Chelsea Girls, which I love but can’t really justify the price of.
