Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Palette : Ever since this INGLOT showroom opened up in the mall near my place, I’ve been looking for excuses to go there! I literally feel like a kid in a candystore there! So many colours!! WOW! And what caught my eye first was the Freedom system where you can put together any shades of lipsticks/eyeshadows/concealers/blushes you like to make your own custom palette. And these custom palettes come in various sizes. I decided to start off with a 3 round palette and here I had the option of either putting in eyeshadows or lipsticks. I decided to go with all 3 lipsticks.
Price of 3 round pro palette: Rs.250
Price of each lipstick refill(1.2g): Rs.250
So this whole palette cost me Rs.1000. Not bad I’d say, for 3 shades of lipsticks and a nice palette that I can carry around in my bag.
The Palette is very sleek and is matt black with a mirror on one side and space for a lip bush, though I didn’t purchase one. I already have a very good retractable lip brush from MAC and i use that for application. It is very handy and is small enough to carry in a purse and looks great too, in case you need to do touch ups in public! 🙂 The palette is magnetised and so are the refill pans and once you put them inside you can’t really take them out! But the advantage of this is- the pans would never get loose or come off or anything.
Coming to the actual lipstick shades I got: I got 3 shades that I think I would use on a daily basis.
Inglot Shade no.13:
A very nude pinkish colour that is the perfect light shade for me to use with a smokey eye. This shade is light but doesnt wash out my complexion, unlike some other nude lipsticks that I’ve tried. This looks very pink in the pan but goes on a light pinkish nude on my lips.
Inglot Shade no. 50:
This is a light pink with caramel/brown undertones and is a very nuetral shade. More like MLBB shade for me and looks great when applied. You can do any eye make up with this- either a soft smokey eye or just a winged look, anything!
Inglot Shade no. 56:
This is a bright true coral shade. I was on the lookout for a coral as this shade is very IN this season and this is the perfect coral. Doesnt look too bright but at the same time is perfect for daytime wear. I wear this with a winged eyeliner.
So you see, I picked the 3 shades of lipsticks to match 3 different basic looks .
Now, coming to the quality of the lipsticks. These are quite creamy and pigmented. They are quite opaque and will cover up any pigmentation on your lips. These are not moisturising but arent very drying too. But if your lips are chapped or dry then you will need a lip balm underneath it. I always use a lip balm underneath these lipsticks as I find them a little drying. The texture of these lipsticks is between glossy and matt. You can wear a transparent gloss over these to make them look nice and shiny. These have a staying power of about 4-5 hours on their own and the darker shades will leave a stain after eating/drinking.
Overall, I think this is a great concept and you can mix and match any colours and you can even try bolder colours that you’re not sure if you’ll be able to carry off as these are only 1.2g and you dont have to worry about wasting a lot of product and the price is quite reasonable too, I feel. Also, the MUAs here were quite helpful without being overbearing. I spent about an hour swatching shades and deciding and she patiently helped me out whenever I called her and also applied the shortlisted shades on me and gave me advice etc. So overall experience was also quite good for me. I’m definitely going back soon for an eyeshadow palette next! 🙂
