Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in shade 55 Review

Hi Girls,

This is one of the refills I purchased from Inglot, the Freedom System Lipstick Refill in shade #55.  The review is a long pending one. I had no time to do the lip swatch during day light. I reach home late in the evenings (I start at 6 in the morning and reach home around 6 in the evening), and I get busy with the usual household chores. So, I waited for the weekend, to do the lip swatch.  Now, coming to the review of the lipstick, did this really make me happy? Read on further.

My Take on Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in shade 55:

I ordered the refills online, going by the shade that comes up in the site. I took this shade 55 and 47 (which has already been reviewed here).

The shade 55 looks more like a coral shade with brown undertones (that is how it looks in the website), and so I thought it would suit my dusky complexion. I received the parcel and I was disappointed looking at the refill pan. It was a perfect coral, which is very difficult for dusky girls to pull off.

The shade is a bright coral. Fair skinned girls can rock this shade and this a must-have for all coral lipstick lovers.

I wore this lipstick and dabbed a napkin to remove the extra lipstick on my lips.  If I don’t dab off the lipstick with a napkin, it washes out my face completely. The result was that my lips had a nice coral tint. The mild coral tint peps up your mood and gives you a fresh look. Still, I somehow felt it didn’t suit me well.

The shade can be used as a party wear. It has a creamy finish and is nicely pigmented. It covers the pigmentation on lips to a good extent. The lipstick was creamy and utterly soft, and glides easily with a brush. If this is worn in a proper way (not removing off the extra lipstick), its going to give a luscious look and a very s**y pout.

Since I dabbed off the lipstick, only leaving a tint on my lips, the color stayed for 2 hours, after which I had to reapply and I did not find it moisturizing.

So, if you are a lover of coral shades and bold enough to carry bright peppy shades, then this is for you.  It is definitely not for dusky skinned girls. I’m sure this is going to join the gang of untouched lipsticks in my stash!!

What I Like about Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in shade 55:

• I liked the shade, though it didn’t suit me, a chic coral shade for everyday wear.
• Good pigmentation – covers up the pigmentation on your lips with a single swipe, but if your lips are too pigmented, it may not cover.
• Creamy in texture.
• Staying power of 2-3 hours on me, but I have used other Inglot lipsticks which stay for a good amount of time.
• No parabens, that’s one of the good things I like about Inglot.
• Availability of refills at a very reasonable price.

What I Do Not Like about Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in shade 55:

• Why can’t the refills be named, instead of Inglot following the numbering system?
• Sadly, this coral shade is not for dusky skinned girls.

Will I Recommend Inglot Freedom System Lipstick Refill in shade 55?

Yes, if you fall for vibrant corally hues.
