I felt I had not shopped a lippy for myself for a long time. My last pick was in December.Yeah, two months gap is a long time.
So as always I picked a refill pan from Inglot, my most trusted brand nowadays. It has a huge range of shades and the price that keeps me addicted to Inglot pans. And the refills system is such a brilliant idea that you will finish up in sometime unlike the bullet lippies. Now getting on to the review, I picked the shade # 58.
My take on Inglot refill lipstick #58:
I have a tendency to buy more of browns and mauves. This pan looked brownish in the website and I picked it. I was hoping that my pick doesn’t end up being a dud and glad it did not.
The shade looks too dark in the pan. But in real, it is a soft brown with mild orange undertones. It is not the sort of dark chocolate brown. But that is how it looks in the pan and in the website. I got this lippy delivered while I was in office and the moment I got it, I rushed to the rest room, to try on my lips. Crazy!
I used my lip brush to pick a little and then I worked out the shade on my lips. It gave a decent coral-ish brown tint to my lips. I felt it looked like coppery brown. Ok,I think I’m giving too many descriptions for the shade. Let me not confuse. Swatches to help you are below:
It gives a semi-matte finish. A little amount is enough to give coverage for pigmented lips. And texture is too creamy and buttery. I just love how creamy these lippies are. And there is a very faint smell, but it fades the moment you apply on your lips. Just one thing that bothers me is this transfers to cups and glasses.
I had the problem of the lipstick bleeding with few shades from Inglot, but this one did not bleed and did not settle into fine lines. Like I said, I applied this lippie in office around 11 in the morning and my lip had the tint until 4PM, even after my lunch. The staying power of the Inglot lipsticks has always been awesome and one of the attracting points. This shade will suit almost all complexions and it suits my dusky tone, very apt. I prefer wearing this with ethnic wear and top with a plain gloss to give that extra glossy finish.
What I Like about Inglot Freedom system lipstick #58:
– Beautiful coppery brown shade
– Creamy texture and looks luscious.
– Amazing staying power
– Covers pigmentation to a great extent
– Will suit all skin tones
– Gives a semi-Matte finish. I find it good for office wear
– Does not bleed
What I do not like about Inglot Freedom system lipstick #58:
– The Numbering system.
– You need to carry a lip brush with you for touch-up. And a palette is needed for convenience.
– Easily transfers easily to cups.
Will I recommend Inglot Freedom system lipstick #58?
Yes, If you have a love for brown tones.
To Sum up:
The Inglot lippies are a real boon for dry lipped girls. And If you are looking for a variety of hues in a reasonable price, then Inglot is the one. I love Inglot for so many reasons, which I’ve stated above. But owning the refills without a palette makes it difficult to carry around. You cant just slip these into your bag and travel. Pallete is a must and it’s an investment.
