Inglot Lipstick in 278 – Is It the Best Orange Lipstick for your skin tone?

Hi lovely ladies!!!

Inglot – one brand that I was impatiently waiting to get my hands on. I have never tried Inglot products before, simply because there is only one mall in my city that has an Inglot store and I never got a chance to visit it all these years. But finally, I managed to go there, and I felt like a little kid lost in chocolate land. I went gaga over all the lovely products and splurged like crazy. I never wanted to leave the store, it was like a newly discovered heaven to me ;).  So today, I will be reviewing an Inglot lipstick in the shade number 278.

My Experience with Inglot Lipstick in 278:

Inglot lipstick in the shade 278, comes in an outer black card box carrying all the information about the lipstick like the ingredients list, shade number, price and expiry date. The actual lipstick comes in a classy black metal body with Inglot written on the cap. The shade number is mentioned on the sticker at the bottom of the lipstick and there is no shade indicator on the body, so you have to look at the bottom to identify the shade. I prefer names over numbers for cosmetics, as it is more easier to remember names than numbers. One thing I would like to mention, that stood out to me, is that when you put the cap back on, it seems to almost suction close itself, instead of the usual click on caps that lipsticks come in. This makes the entire packaging super sturdy and travel friendly.

Inglot Lipstick

Coming to the shade, it is a gorgeous orange lip color with absolutely no shimmer or sheen. The shade has a bit of yellowish undertone to it, but after an hour or so, the yellowish tinge disappears and the lip color turns a little warmer which looks even more better.

Inglot Lipstick

The lipstick is soft and creamy in texture and glides on the lips easily, without any pulling or tugging. It is a creamy matte lipstick, which means, it is creamy on application but settles down to a matte finish. You need not apply a coat of lip balm beneath the lipstick, but you definitely need to exfoliate your lips before you apply the lipstick, otherwise the lip color will settle in the dry flaky areas of the lips.

Orange lipstick

This lip color is amazingly pigmented. One swipe is all you need to get rich, opaque colour on the lips that will cover up any pigmentation of the lips. The lip colour does not tranfer much or bleed.

This beautiful lip color lasts for a good 6-7 hours on the lips without drying out the lips or looking patchy. It does fade away unevenly from the center of the lips after meals. It leave a pretty stain behind which lasts a little longer.

Inglot Lipstick

Inglot lipstick in the shade 278 isn’t really a moisturizing lipstick, but it doesn’t dry out the lips either. Not to forget this lipstick has a sweet fruity smell to it which is quite pleasant and non overpowering. The smell lasts for at least 10 minutes after the lipstick is freshly applied, after which it fades away gradually.

Pros of Inglot Lipstick in 278:

  • Classy and sturdy black packaging.
  • Gorgeous orange shade with yellow undertones.
  • Smooth and creamy texture.
  • Settles to a matte finish.
  • Amazing pigmentation.
  • Doesn’t dry out the lips.
  • Lasts really long.
  • Doesn’t bleed or transfer.
  • Leaves a pretty stain behind.
  • Has a sweet fruity smell to it.

Cons of Inglot Lipstick in 278:

  • Slightly on the expensive side.
  • Not easily available.
  • Identified with shade number and not name.
  • Settles down in the dry areas of the lips, therefore need to exfoliate the lips prior to lipstick application.
  • Fades away unevenly after meals.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5

Overall, Inglot lipstick in the shade 278 is orange served straight up. This lipstick, in a sense, is a basic Inglot lipstick, with classy packaging. The opaque creamy-matte formula wears long, feels great on the lips, and screams with statement-making color. If only the orange-st orange are your favourites, this is the pick for you. Do try it, I’m sure you will love it!!!
