Inglot Nail Enamel 306 Review

INGLOT NAIL ENAMEL # 306

Hi Beauties,

I am reviewing another nail enamel today from my Inglot haul. I am a sucker for pastel nail enamels, and do not like the bold colors too much (except on specific occasions). The only thing which I don’t like is that pastel nail enamels tend to be lighter in shade, and invariably streaky. It really makes a mess of application, as I have to apply 3-4 coats, which then makes it thick and gloopy, and totally changes the color of the enamel. Added to which, it really takes forever to dry. I bought this nail enamel, since I liked the color, and a few more pastel nail enamels during my recent haul.

My Experience with Inglot Nail Enamel 306 :

This nail enamel, like other Inglot nail enamels, comes in a black box packaging with a hole in the front side, which makes it easy to identify the shade. The nail enamel comes in a square shaped bottle, with a simple brush applicator. It is better to shake the bottle before first use; as the pigment might have separated from the solvent.

No 306 is a warm toned coral color. It is a part of the regular Inglot nail enamel collection. The color is not neonish at all. In day light, it appears pinkish coral, while in artificial light, it appears coral to light orange in color, and will suit both fair and darker skin people. Like most lighter shades, this one also applies streaky in the first coat. I was mentally prepared for it. But, I found that the second coat also does not give satisfactory complete coverage. You will need atleast 3 coats for it to give complete coverage.

The finish is shiny and does not contain any shimmer. However, I missed the creamy texture, which was present in the Colorplay edition of nail enamels. Don’t get me wrong, the nail enamel as such is actually quite nice, however having used the shades of the Colorplay range, I was expecting a bit more (Don’t forget, this is my first foray into Inglot nail enamels). Since I had to apply 3 coats of nail enamel for satisfactory coverage, naturally the drying time also increased. I waited for around 30 minutes; it was still not completely dry, so I got impatient and out came my magical Drying Drops. One drop on each nail; and my enamel dried instantly.

This one also applies very smoothly on to the nails. It does not discolour my nails, even without a base coat. I am on my third day today, and the shine is still intact; with no chipping at all till now. However, one thing I found very irritating; and this point makes me sore in any other brand. A few hours after application, I started noticing small air bubbles on the nails enamel which I had painted on my nails. (You may see this in the swatches as well).

Will I repurchase Inglot Nail Enamel 306 ? No.

Will I recommend Inglot Nail Enamel 306?

Yes; only if you do not have such a shade in your makeup box. This is an easily dupable shade; and I did not find anything special in it which is not present in so many other brands. Also, those air bubbles put me in a real grumpy mood. One word of caution regarding all Pastel shades: Do not eat oily or “haldi-wala” food stuff with your hands….or you will be responsible for the end result.

  1. I loved the shade Arpita, its so pretty but it didn’t work out, I could see the bubble which u mentioned in the pic, anyways nice review and clicks

    1. *thankyou* Jotsna… Yes those bubbles make me so so angry…. And these start appearing suddenly out of nowhere a few hours after the nail polish has dried

  2. Why is it that pastels are so often streaky? This color reminds me of melons, it’s so pretty and fresh. Too bad about the application and air bubbles. I get bothered by bubbles in my polish too, I usually take it off of there’s lots of bubbles.
