Inglot Nail Enamel Shade 388 Review

INGLOT NAIL ENAMEL# 388

Hi Beauties,

I bought quite a few Inglot stuff during my short trip a few weeks back. All of them were nail stuff, very kindly inspired by the reviews on IMBB. Thank you all. I have never purchased nor used any Inglot nail enamels before; hence these were a top priority on my list this time. Since I had already purchased a Coastal scents eye shadow palette (which I will review after using it some more), I did not purchase any more eye stuff. I purchased four nail enamels, and will review each of them over a course of time. Today, I am going to review shade number 388 in the Inglot Nail Enamel range (I am still sore about the fact that Inglot does not name any of them, only gives numbers).

About the Product: This shade no 388 belongs to the Color Play Collection of Inglot Nail Enamels.

The perfect nail enamel provides durability, high gloss and a short to medium drying time. Does NOT contain toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) or camphor.

Ingredients: as in the picture

Price: I got it for Rs 490/- for 15 ml of product.

My experience with Inglot Nail enamel shade 388:

This color is a part of Inglot’s Color Play collection launched in Spring 2013. It is a collection of 10 most beautiful nail enamels, which are all pastel colors to die for. These have been numbered from 381 to 390, so if you happen to visit the Inglot store any time soon, do check these out.

The nail enamel comes in a black color box with a hole, through which the color inside may be seen. The Bottle inside is squarish in shape, and holds 15 ml of product. The brush is a simple brush, without any fancies. Overall, the packaging is simplistic to the extreme.

No. 388 is a beautiful Pastel Lilac shade, which looks the same in the bottle as on the nails. It may appear a bit shimmery inside the bottle, thankfully that does not transfer on the nails. It’s better to shake the bottle between two hands rolling thoroughly before first use, since the pigment might have separated from the solvent. The nail enamel has a perfect runny consistency, without being too thin or too gloopy. In my experience, lighter colors usually apply streaky on the first coat. However, this nail enamel gives complete coverage in the first coat only, without applying streaky at all. It settles to a smooth creamy finish, which does have shine to it as well. I have a habit of applying atleast two coats of nail enamel, however, you may apply only one coat also. Application is very easy, and it dries quickly too, within 4-5 minutes only.

Also, this color remained on my nails for atleast 6-7 days, after which I myself removed it. It does not discolour my nails at all, even without a base coat. There is minimum chipping, only after the fourth day, that too only on my right hand. You will grow bored of the color, but the color will never get bored of your nails, and remain intact for days together. It will retain its shine till it lasts.

Will I repurchase Inglot Nail Enamel Shade 388?

Yes, but in some other shade

Will I recommend Inglot Nail Enamel Shade 388?

Yes, to all. The Inglot store is such a delightful and colourful little place to be in, you will actually be playing in colors. There are so many different color nail enamels. And this one is a perfect pastel shade for everyone.

P.S. Due to work purposes, I cannot keep very long nails…hence all my nail swatches will be with my nails kept short.
