My Experience with Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil:

This cleansing oil comes in a beautiful light green transparent plastic bottle. The transparency allows one to see the amount of cleansing oil left inside. It has a pump for dispensing the product along with a clip which prevents unnecessary leakage. I would not call this bottle travel friendly, as some amount of product which is left inside the tube of the pump can easily leak out. There was a plastic seal over the pump when I first bought it. The bottle has a plastic label all over it, containing all the information such as description, ingredients, directions for usage etc. It has a design of apples along the side which looks pretty. Overall, I like the packaging.

The cleansing oil is a transparent liquid. It is not too thick; on the contrary, it is quite runny. One to two pumps are sufficient for the entire face. The scent of the cleansing oil is of green apple candy. The scent is very strong, but I like it as it is refreshing.

For those of you who think that cleansing oils do not suit oily or combination skin type, cleansing oils are a different type of product that have to be washed off and do not remain on the skin. The oil helps to remove oil-based and waterproof products such as foundation and sunscreen. The oil converts makeup into a milky product when it comes into contact with water, facilitating its removal from the skin along with the makeup.

Coming to the application of this cleansing oil, I use this as part of my evening skincare routine. I apply it all over my dry face, taking my time to really work it into my skin. At the same time, I take it as an opportunity to give myself a face massage. The scent of this also helps to refresh my face and mood. Because of its runny texture, it does not tug or pull at my skin. I like using this as part of my double cleansing routine as it helps to remove most traces of sunscreen, makeup and dirt or pollutants. I use it to remove products like compact powder, tinted sunscreen and lipstick.

It can remove eye makeup like eye shadow, but products like mascara would require following up with an eye makeup remover. Upon contact with water, it turns into a milky texture which easily washes off. My face feels really smooth and clean, ready for the next step in cleansing. It does not seem to dry out my combination skin. Overall, I really like this product.
