Innisfree Apple Seed Cleansing Tissue Review

Hi IMBBians,

Like I mention in all my reviews of makeup removal products, I love to wear makeup but I wish removing makeup is as fun as applying makeup. The makeup removing process is messy, it takes a while to get all the gunk off and above of all, most makeup removers leave some residue behind, especially waterproof eye makeup is hard to remove even with high end makeup removers. But, makeup removing wipes do make the process a little easier and considerably mess free, even if they don’t leave face squeaky clean.

My Experience with Innisfree Apple Seed Cleansing Tissue:

I use makeup wipes every day to remove my makeup and clean my face. I have tried the usual drugstore brand wipes such as the ones by Equate, Garnier and Aveeno and they all have their pros and cons. I use at least two wipes a day and hence it is a bit expensive to use higher end wipes on every day basis. I personally love MAC makeup removing wipes, but obviously they are not favorable from the price point of view. So, I don’t mind using cheaper alternatives which might not perform just as well, but still good enough for my everyday needs.

I usually use makeup remover wipes to remove my face makeup and for eyes, I have used various kinds of makeup removers such as micellar water, makeup removing balms or even good old Vaseline. Among all these, I love cleansing balms the most, but I still do need wipes to remove all the residual makeup gunk.

Wipes come in a packet with a flap to cover the opening that dispenses the wipes. The wipes are not soaking wet, but still work fine at removing my base makeup and lip color. But, when it comes to removing eye makeup, it does not perform satisfactorily and is unable to completely remove gel eyeliner or mascara. That is where my cleansing balm comes into play, but I still have good things to say about these wipes and I tend to ignore their shortcomings.

Innisfree Apple Seed Cleansing Tissue Opening

The smell is very pleasant like a real green apple. It removes the base makeup really well and whatever it can’t, I try to break down with a cleansing balm and then wipe it off with the wipe. Sometimes, I even apply some face wash on the wipe and use it like a wash cloth. I really try to use a single wipe as best as I can and obtain maximum use out of it. This product contains apple seed extract and essential oil. Unfortunately, apart from this extract, it is rife with chemicals and heavy oils. So, it is not meant for those who love vegan and chemical-free products.

Cons of Innisfree Apple Seed Cleansing Tissue:

  • Does not remove eye makeup easily and some other product has to be used for that purpose – I prefer to use a cleansing balm.
