I always buy face cleansers as a part of my Korean haul. This cleanser was also a part of my recent batch of skincare products I purchased. I do not hoard face cleansers the way I hoard mascaras but I do love to try out new ones and keep a pile of my all-time favourite cleansers and face wash. A good facial cleanser should lather decently, cleanse your face and should not leave the face dry and stretchy, especially since my skin is very dry, to begin with. Like I mentioned before, I have tried a few drugstore face cleansers but they were very drying for me so I am on a lookout for a non-drying, affordable formula.

My Experience with Innisfree Broccoli Clearing Gel Cleanser:
The product comes in a white tube packaging. It is white in color and can stand upright in my bathroom cabinet. The size of the tube is 100 ml and has a flip cap to dispense the product when the tube is squeezed. The product is dispensed in a clear gel form, which lathers up when mixed with water.
I tried to find the product description on a lot of websites but either it was not available or was in Korean. Also, the ingredient list is not provided in detail. This is a major drawback with most Korean products. Most of the Korean skincare products I buy in good faith and hope that they will not harm my skin. Fortunately, this cleanser has been kind to my skin.
I have been using this face wash once daily and it was satisfying to note that it doesn’t dry out my skin or give that stretchy feeling to the skin as most face washes do. It lathers well with water so it is bound to contain alcohols and sulphates but I guess in moderate amount. Also, it claims to contain a major percentage of broccoli extract, wintergreen leaf extract and allantoin.
I have never heard of broccoli as a skincare ingredient so I am not very excited about it. Wintergreen leaf is calming and soothing and so is allantoin which also helps in regeneration of healthy skin. This product, if swallowed a bit during application, has a bitter taste like neem, which is surprising because broccoli is not bitter. So, the bitter taste of this product is a mystery to me.
The fragrance of this products is non-existent and is a selling point of this product (especially for me). It does not smell of alcohols or other preservative and that is more important for me. It has a thick gel-like texture, and when mixed with a few drops of water, it lathers up nicely and leaves the face squeaky clean. Overall, I am impressed with this product and do advice others to try it out.

Verdict:
This face wash, like other Korean face wash that I have tried in the past, has not let me down. It is an affordable face wash which performs well. It comes in a decent tube, does not make my skin dry (like the usual drugstore face wash) and easily removes dirt and makeup. I enjoy using this face wash every day and recommend it to others as well.
