Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Cleansing Oil Review

Hi everyone,

I have bought quite a few skin care products recently. I recently suffered from chicken pox and my skin is still recovering. I still have chicken pox scars and my skin feels too tender and sensitive. I love the idea of “double cleansing” and was using coconut oil for long, but recently, I realized that coconut oil is comedogenic and may cause breakouts. I saw this Innisfree cleansing oil on their website and bought it as it is for oily skin. There are other two variants available and the “Moisture” version has already been reviewed on IMBB. Read this review to know more about Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Cleansing Oil.

My Experience with Innisfree Green Tea Fresh Cleansing Oil:

The oil comes in a transparent, green, plastic bottle with a green pump. The green color is super soothing and it looks beautiful in my stash. I love the packaging of Korean products and this one is no exception. There is a lock attached to the pump which prevents spilling when you are carrying it around. You will have to take the lock out to press the pump and bring out the product. The packaging is definitely travel friendly and aesthetically soothing.

The fragrance of this product is refreshing. It smells of green tea, which is very faint and very soothing. It does not linger for long, but you will definitely enjoy it while cleansing the face. The oil is super lightweight and spreads very easily on the skin. As suggested, I first apply the oil on my face, avoiding the eye area, massage for a few seconds, and then add a little water. Once I add some water, the product starts to lather. I wash it off with water then. At times, I feel I do not need any cleanser after this, but as I use it for the purpose of double cleansing, I prefer using my Fash Foam Cleanser after this one.

After this oil cleansing method, my skin feels clean, nourished, soft and moisturized. My pores look clean and also tight to certain extends. I love the baby soft skin that this product gives. I never liked a cleansing product as much as I love this one.

The only con of this product is that you cannot use it as a makeup remover. It stings the eyes in the worst possible manner when it touches the eyes. I avoid the eye area entirely when I massage it, but if I am not careful, this reaches the eyes while washing and my eyes become red. I do not mind the fact that I cannot remove makeup as I use it as a cleansing oil which is a part of my everyday skincare routine. My everyday kajal gets washed away with the foam cleanser, so nothing to worry about regarding that, but I wished the stinging was a little less.

Overall, I love all everything that this cleansing oil does except the fact that it gives me red eyes. I am currently trying to follow the Korean skincare routine and would love to see how this changes my skin in a long run.
