Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo Review

By Surabhi Singh

Hair type: long and thick
Scalp type: oily

Today I will review Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo. I am currently in love with this shampoo. I bought it three weeks ago and use it twice or thrice a week. I usually get dandruff issues during this season which further leads to acne. Before this, I was using Dove Damage Therapy Dandruff Care Shampoo but it was not really effective. This range by Innisfree offers a scalp scaler, a shampoo, and a conditioner. This review is about the shampoo, let’s get started with it.

Price: $8 for 300 ml

My Experience with Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo:

Packaging:
Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo comes in a see-through sturdy plastic bottle. The bottle is mint green in color and has a cap as well. If you keep the bottle properly during travels then there will be no spillage. Product related information is printed on the bottle in Korean as well as in English.

Texture:
The shampoo comes in a gel form. It is quite lightweight and has a pearly appearance. The texture of the shampoo is smooth and runny.

Fragrance:
I was expecting the shampoo to have a green tea scent but minty notes overpower the fragrance. This shampoo has a strong smell of mint with a hint of green tea and lemongrass. Despite being a strong mint smell, it is very refreshing to me. But, this same scent is a torture to my sister. All I can think of is methanol candies when I smell this shampoo. It smells very nice and refreshing; for me, it is a heavenly smell.

Usage/Results:
I have an oily scalp which is required to be kept clean and fresh to prevent acne breakouts. My hair turns oily on the second day after wash. I am using this shampoo for the last three weeks, twice or thrice a week. A little amount of the shampoo does the work. It lathers up very well in the shower. As soon as I apply the shampoo, it starts giving a cooling sensations to my scalp. Since it comes in a lightweight gel form, this shampoo is very easy to wash off. This shampoo cleanses my scalp and hair very well, removing every bit of impurity, oil and dandruff.

I don’t need to wash my hair even after 3 days. But still, I do. My hair fall has reduced a lot ever since I have started to use this shampoo. Unlike other sebum control shampoos, this one doesn’t make my hair dry. It leaves my hair soft. This gives my scalp a very refreshing feel and fills the bathroom with an amazing smell. It definitely controls the excess sebum production and keeps my hair oil-free till the next wash.

• Has a refreshing smell
• Free of parabens
• Makes hair soft after every use

  1. My hair also gets oily on the second day after wash, so I ordered this shampoo as soon as I read your review..I hope it works for me

    1. It will surely work. It keeps the my scalp’s oil production in control till next wash plus doesn’t show any trace of dandruff. Now I use this shampoo in a gap of three days. You will surely love it.
