Hi Lovely Ladies!!
Today I am here with a review of a cult product from the Korean Brand ‘Innisfree’-The Green Tea Seed Serum. Now I kind of have a soft spot for serums-they are concentrated skincare goodness without being too greasy or heavy. If you skin feels oily, just skip the moisturizer over the serum. That’s the beauty; the serums are good for any skin type oily, dry or combination.
So let’s see how this serum fared for me.
Price: Rs. 1450 for 80ml (Wondering why don’t brands go for round figure measures anymore??!)
Innisfree products are nature based and the green tea ingredient is 100% organic and from Jeju Island. Innisfree the Green Tea Seed Cream with green tea seed and green complex: Enriched with Green Tea seed and Green Complex from pure Jeju Island, Green Tea Pure revives dry, stressed skin by supplying abundant moisture.
Green tea seeds, cherishing the pure moisture in the ground, fill your skin with moisture. Green tea seeds bloom flowers in autumn to bear the energy of all four seasons and take 2-3 times longer to bloom than other places, because of “moisture,” the most important factor of germination. Green tea trees like and dislike moisture. What does this mean? Green tea spreads its roots to deeper grounds to pump up the purest water. Because of this property, its seeds are called moisture seeds
Okay…detailed claims…so the description is a seller isn’t it!
My Experience with Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum:
The serum comes in a green pump dispenser bottle. The packaging itself won my heart!! Green goes well with the eco-friendly theme and the pump dispenser is hygienic. So all well here. The serum itself is light weight and does not feel tacky on application. It gets absorbed within a minute leaving the skin looking wonderfully matte. The moisturizing claim is really true. My skin feels hydrated for a good 8-9 hours .On days when I feel my skin needs to breathe, I don’t even put a moisturizer on and my skin feels just fine. I have normal to combination skin, so this sort of application works well for me.
All in all it is a really good hydrator. But, if you are looking for anything beyond it; I don’t think this will be that great for you. I did not notice any significant improvement in my skin tone, the skin problems I had earlier continued to persist. A good thing is that this serum does not irritate skin and did not cause any breakouts that I felt with the Vitamin C range from Innisfree. But that’s just about it; the product sadly did not wow me.
Pros of Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum:
- Excellent Hydrator (so will really help those with dry/dehydrated/mature skin)
- Reasonable price
- Large quantity that would last for a long time
- Lightweight and easily absorbed
- Hygienic pump dispenser
- Free from harsh chemicals
Cons of Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum:
- It’s not your dream product for skin treatment/anti ageing concerns.
- Availability is an issue .
IMBB Rating: 3/5
Final Verdict on Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum:
Like I said, it is an average product if you are looking for skin improvement/anti ageing benefits. But it’s really awesome for those who have dry and mature skin that needs hydration. I personally would not repurchase.
