Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin Review

Skin Type: Normal to oily, acne-prone and sensitive (tends to get dry patches in winter)

My Experience with Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin Toner:

Packaging: I have an absolute love for anything in blue and violet and, Innisfree jeju sparkling mineral skin comes in a gorgeous blue coloured plastic bottle with screw cap. Beneath the screw cap, the opening in the bottle has rubber cap as well. It is meant to be there to prevent leakage while travelling. The material is very sturdy and the packaging is absolutely leakage-proof; hence can be aptly termed as travel-friendly. Like their other products, this one also comes in a bio-degradable cardboard box. All the necessary information is written over the bottle as well as outer box.

Consistency and Fragrance: The toner has a watery consistency with being milky white in appearance. While the toner looks milky, it is actually somewhere between semi-transparent to transparent. It has very mild and fainted scent that is not bothering. It feels very pleasant, citrusy and refreshing.

Usage/Results: I am a toner girl, but you won’t find any toner reviewed by me before this. More than any other skin care product, toner has the utmost capability of causing breakouts to my skin. Hence, I always think at least 10 times before trying out a new toner. By the time, if I am able to think it for the 10th time, my decision is changed and I would’t be buying that toner anymore. I know it’s very typical of me. Anyways, a long time ago, I came across an article on the “Korean’s 7 skin method”. This method encourages the layering of toner upto 7 layers, as long as your skin feels comfortable. From that time, I was very keen on trying it out, but couldn’t figure out what type of toner and which toner in particular should I opt for this experiment. To qualify for this method, the toner must be alcohol-free with hydrating properties. Hence, to meet these requirements and after checking the ingredients, this toner came into the picture and which season could be better than winter to try out a hydrating toner.

Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin Review Beneath Cap

I use this toner twice a day. In the morning, I just apply the toner with the help of cotton pad and follow up with other skin care products. In the evening, I layer the toner upto 6 or 7 times at weekends, and upto 3 or 5 times on weekdays. Following 7 skin method daily is a chore and one will fed up of it in no time, if followed at every application. While applying the toner at night, I apply the first layer with the help of cotton pad to remove the residue. To apply the next layer, I use only my hands. I put a dime size toner over my palm, rub it between the hands and gently pat it over the skin to increase its absorption. The toner is runny and, I have to be little bit careful while applying toner with my hands, as not to let it get wasted.

The toner is water-based and gets sink into the skin very quickly. I don’t have to wait even for a minute for applying the next layer. Single layer of toner is itself very hydrating and makes the skin refreshed. It does not make the skin oily or greasy. It just provides the hydration that is required and it’s work is done. It plumps up the skin, making it soft and moist. It provides skin more of a velvety soft finish. The toner balances the skin’s pH level that is very necessary to make the other skin care products work effectively for the skin. Now a days, my skin looks much clearer and radiant because of all the hydration it is getting. Neither this toner irritates the skin or clogs up the pores. Moreover, it soothes the skin and is perfect for sensitive skin as well.

Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin Review Toner in Hand

You must be wondering about what happened to my skin after indulging in 7 skin method. Well, considerably my skin remains very much hydrated and moist all day and all night long. I just top it off with an essence and doesn’t even need a night cream. The toner and essence keep the skin hydrated enough till the next morning. It will be safe to say that although this method is a bit tiring, the skin reaps a lot of benefits from it. Though this is a great toner to try out in winter, it will not be a perfect choice for normal to oily skin to use it in summer.
