Greetings Everyone,

In this post, I will be sharing my views on Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Calming. My Experience with Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Calming:

Packaging: Innisfree jeju volcanic color clay mask calming comes in a beautiful, calming purple coloured tube with a flip top. I absolutely adore face masks with tube packaging. The cap opens with a little pressure and closes with a little click, making it travel-friendly. Though there are no chances of getting the mask out of the tube on its own, but I still mentioned it. All the necessary information is written over the back of the tube in both Korean and English. The opening of the tube was sealed and the tube itself has outer cardboard packaging. The outer cardboard packaging also houses every detail regarding the product.

Texture and Fragrance: This calming mask is clay based with thick and creamy texture. Despite the thick consistency, the texture is smooth and soft and spreads over the skin super easily. There is no tugging or pulling in the process. The clay mask is purple coloured. When talking about fragrance, there is no significant one. If you sniff over the mask, then you may feel the basic clay scent. Other than that, it is not at all significant.

Usage/Result: I use this face mask too often – let’s say 5 times a week. It is enough to say how much I love this calming mask. How I use it? First of all, I cleanse my face with a mild cleanser and follow up with spreading the mask evenly over the cleansed skin – sometimes I apply the mask only over the cheeks and jawline where 90% of the redness is. I leave it for the next 15-20 minutes and then wipe off with muslin cloth dipped in lukewarm water. When I try to wash it off with normal water, it becomes very slippery and takes comparatively much time. On the other hand, when I use lukewarm water, it is easy to remove it off and there is no residue left behind.

It is advised to apply for 5-10 minutes, but I like to leave the mask on till it starts drying which is nearly 15-20 minutes. It is a creamy-clay mask that doesn’t dry out stiff like the typical clay masks. I have to keep it touching to know if it is dry or not. It provides a soothing effect to the skin.

Post rinsing, it makes skin look clear with reduced inflammation and redness – I would like to say that 80% of redness on my cheeks got reduced. I keep getting redness/inflammation because of acne now and then and there is no end for them yet. Also, a day out in sun flares up my skin especially cheeks while pollutants irritate it. All these concerns are put to an end with this mask. To be honest, I didn’t expect this face mask to be this good. The face mask makes skin clean, soft, and smooth while calming it down. It treats fatigued skin and adds a subtle glow to it. Although the glow doesn’t last till the end of the day, I still like this mask. Also, the face mask keeps skin oil-free for a couple of hours only. The best thing is that the face mask doesn’t dry out the skin and I don’t need to necessarily follow up with a moisturizer. A toner does the work nicely.

Overall, I loved this mask and prefer using it now and then. It effectively calms down the skin, reduces inflammation and redness. Also, it does not have to be applied for 15-20 minutes as the recommended time is just 5-10 minutes.
