My Experience with Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Purifying:
This mask comes in a black color-coded tube with a dark brown flip cap which makes it easy to use and it’s a hygienic packaging. I like this travel-friendly, lightweight tube and it also comes with a paper box that contains all the information about the product. The mask is a little expensive, but this tube contains 70 ml of product, which will last long as I require a small amount each time.
Texture and Consistency:
This range has three types of clay masks: water gel clay, cream clay and transforming texture. This ‘Purifying’ one is a light black colored mask that has smooth creamy texture and the consistency spreads over the skin easily. It is actually a transforming texture, which means initially you have to apply it as a mask and then rinse it off after 10-15 minutes.
With rubbing, the mask transforms into a cleanser and it lathers well on the skin. It blends so smoothly and feels like a nice foaming cleanser. I absolutely love this transforming texture that acts as a mask as well as a face wash in one product. It’s a very lightweight formula and a small amount can do wonders to my skin and it never dries out completely since it’s a cream-bases clay. After 10-15 minutes, I massage it and wash it off with normal water. It’s quite easy to rinse off as well. I love this effortless formula as it doesn’t tug or pull like other clay masks.
Effects and Benefits:
This mask is specially formulated to purify the skin and it also claims to remove sebum. Now, I have super oily skin and I love everything that helps to control oil. This black clay mask actually helps to reduce the sebum and makes my skin oil-free. It also provides a boost of freshness and my skin feels so smooth and soft.
Since it works as a cleanser it cleanses the skin deeply and clears oil from the pores. It removes impurities from the skin too. I love the way it makes my skin squeaky clean and acts as a weekend treatment for dull skin. It provides decent hydration as well so it never makes my skin dry or stretchy. It’s actually quite good for all skin types as it purifies the skin well and adds freshness too. It suits sensitive skin too and has never broken me out.
Though it is a skin purifying mask it provides a stubble glow to the skin that looks quite healthy. But the glow lasts only one to two days and after that a reapplication is needed, so it can’t provide any long-lasting results and can’t control oil for long. Otherwise, it’s a nice 2-in-1 face mask, which is perfect during summers.
This range has 7 masks for various issues and they all have different colors, so I can also enjoy multi-masking with these. I love to use the black mask on my T-zone and the pink mask on my cheeks and I have the hydrating blue mask that I love to use on my jaw line and forehead. This is my way to enjoy these color clay masks and they give me a fresh, clear and bright texture along with an oil-free super-smooth skin.
