Greetings everyone,

My Experience with Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Refining:

Packaging: Innisfree jeju volcanic color clay mask refining comes in a white coloured tube with flip top. I absolutely adore face masks with tube packaging. The cap opens with a little pressure and closes with a little click, making it travel-friendly. Though there are no chances of getting the mask out of the tube on its own, but I still mentioned it. All the necessary information is written over the back of the tube in both Korean and English. The opening of the tube was sealed and the tube itself has outer cardboard packaging. The outer cardboard packaging also houses every detail regarding the product.

Texture and Fragrance: This Refining mask is cream clay-based with thick and creamy texture. Despite the thick consistency, the texture is smooth and soft and spreads over the skin super easily. There is no tugging or pulling in the process. The clay mask is greyish-white in colour with basic clay like scent.

Usage/Result: I use this face mask thrice a week. Whenever I use the Calming mask only over the cheeks and jawline, then I pair it with the refining mask. Lately, I have been swamped with work and not getting enough time to pamper my skin regularly, which led to rough skin over the forehead and around the nose area. I apply the Refining mask over the forehead and nose area while Calming mask over the cheeks and jawline.

To apply, I first cleanse my face with a mild cleanser and then apply both the face masks over targeted areas. I leave it for the next 15-20 minutes and then wipe off with muslin cloth dipped in lukewarm water. To be noted, the refining mask is transforming clay based which means that the mask gets foamed up when comes in contact with water. This leads to cleansing, exfoliating and masking with only one product. It works very similar to the Innisfree jeju volcanic 3-in-1 nose pack which I still enjoy using.

Post rinsing, it makes skin super clean while adding little brightness to it. It deeply cleanses the pores and visibly reduces their size. The pores are shrinked, but the effect is temporary. This face mask is very gentle on the skin and does not dry it out. It does not smoothen out the skin in a single usage. I have to use it for 3 to 4 times after which my forehead and nose area appeared to be smoother. Hence, it is safe to say that for the best results one has to use this mask regularly. The mask helps in lifting up the sebum filaments or whiteheads on the nose, which can be further extracted with a nose strip. On the other hand, the mask didn’t irritate the skin.

This clay mask is a good choice after a long, tiring day or a day out in the sun. It freshens up the instantly. The only thing is all the three masks – Calming, Vitalizing and Refining – is that they are not much effective in controlling excess sebum production. My skin, especially nose area, still starts to get oily nearly after 3 hours. I will try out the Purifying mask and I hope that it maybe more effective in controlling excess sebum production.

Pros of Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Refining:

  • Convenient packaging.
  • No significant fragrance.
  • Transforming clay based mask.
  • Temporarily refines the pores to an extent.
  • Brightens the skin.
  • Deep cleanses pores.
  • Does not make skin dry or stretchy.
  • Smoothens out the skin with regular usage.

Cons of Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Refining:

  • Has to be used regularly for best results.
  • Not much effective in controlling excess sebum production.
