Beauty is skin deep…the glow comes from within…the glow of a beautiful heart and soul 🙂 For this glow to come through, we girls must keep the canvas of our skin beautiful and clear 🙂 Beautiful and healthy skin, is such a confidence booster, no one can deny.
Today I have come with a review of a product that forms the first stage of skin care – the cleansing. The product is the Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam. Read on to see whether it is a good investment or not.
Price: Rs 950 for 150 ml
Innisfree Jeju volcanic pore cleansing foam is formulated with Jeju volcanic clusters to strongly adsorb sebum and purify pores. Skin is left matte. Suitable for oily skin and enlarged pores.
My Experience with Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam:
I have purchased the 150 ml of the product that comes in a sturdy tube packaging. However, as I said before, a major grouch of mine is that the ingredients and directions are mentioned in Korean. Since this brand is catering to international customers including India, effort must be made to put English translation of ingredients too.
The cleanser is a creamy face wash and lathers into soft suds. It has very small volcanic pore particles for better absorption of sebum and some scrub action. However the percentage of them is like 2%, so I don’t know how useful these particles are.
After using this face wash however, my skin feels very soft and mattified. It absolutely does not strip my skin off natural oils. Now my skin is normal-combination and sensitive. This face wash did not break me out, which is a huge plus point for me. Also since it does not give a stretchy feeling to skin and still mattifies, it is a clear winner for me. It effectively removes makeup residue. I say makeup residue because I use a makeup remover and then wash off with this face wash and thankfully it gets rid of the makeup remover film.
Regarding its pore shrinking claims – I really feel that some pores on my cheek that were beginning to develop have been neutralized. However the stubborn pores on the nose have still not been defeated 🙁 Maybe that requires really stringent cleansers or it actually cannot be reversed. 🙁 🙁
I like this face wash a lot, between being free of the evil 5 harsh chemicals and keeping my skin healthy, I could not have been happier. Having said that, this face wash is definitely pricey for a face cleanser.
Summing up the pros and Cons for you.
Pros of Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam:
- Mattifies skin.
- Does not give stretchy feel.
- Pores on cheek seem reduced.
- Really soft foaming cleanser.
- Gentle and does not irritate skin.
- Free from Harsh Chemicals.
Cons of Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam:
- Not suitable for those with breakouts as the clay particles may irritate already inflamed skin.
- Does not get rid of stubborn pores.
IMBB Rating: 4/5
Final Verdict: I have no complaints from this face wash. It is not life changing, but has been one of the best face cleansers I have used. I feel that it is pricey and am on the lookout for a similar cheaper alternative, or a much better expensive one.
