Skin Type: Combination
Today, I will be reviewing another product from my favourite skincare brand “Innisfree.” The Orchid Enriched Cream is one of the four Innisfree bestsellers, the others being the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, Green Tea Seed Serum and the Wine Peeling Jelly Softener. This line is enriched with cold growing orchid which is native to Jeju Island. I have already reviewed the eye cream from the same range, which fared really well for me. To know more about this product and how it fared for me, read on further.
2000 INR for 50 ml.
The highly enriched orchid-enriched cream strengthens inner skin cohesion, while providing a perfect solution for managing wrinkles, elasticity, skin tone, nourishments and pores simultaneously.
How To Use:
Apply an appropriate amount onto thoroughly cleansed face and neck then gently smooth for better absorption. When skin feels dry than usual, take a small amount and wear it thinly.
My Experience with Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream:
The cream comes in a pretty purple tub with a violet screw on cap, just like the eye cream. The tub is slightly bigger as it has more volume. It has all the information written on it in white text.
Overall, the packaging is very chic. The cream comes in its own cardboard box which has information such as ingredients, directions for use, price etc. printed on it using environment friendly soy ink. In addition, the cream is sealed with a white plastic sheet that needs to be removed. One flaw is that it does not come with its own spatula. I feel that for the price paid, one should be provided. Other similarly-priced products from The Face Shop are supplied with spatulas.
Unlike the eye cream, this enriched cream is a bit off-white in colour. It seems quite thick in the tub, but a small amount spreads quite easily. The fragrance is slightly floral. I bought this cream as I was interested in buying a product that was all about total care. All the other skincare products in my routine to cater to one skin problem or the other, so this product purchased was meant to take care of the overall health of my skin.
I use this cream after cleansing and toning my face. I especially like using it when my face feels dry and dehydrated. I love using this cream at night, and I generally avoid using it with other treatments like sleeping masks. This cream works on my skin overnight to repair it and restore the energy. My face looks rejuvenated and plump in the morning. As for fine lines and wrinkles, I am yet to see results. I feel that this cream would work wonders in the winter months for the dry areas on my skin. Overall, I am very happy with this product.
Pros of Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream:
- Five-free system product.
- Product will last a long time.
- Moisturizing and nourishing.
- Removes fatigue from the face.
Cons of Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream:
- Contains added fragrance.
- Does not come with a spatula.
- Tub packaging is not hygienic.
- May be heavy for people with oily skin.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream?
I would repurchase this for the winter months. With this product being heavy on its own, I may not need additional products for my skin. It improved the overall health of my skin. I would recommend this to those who are dealing with accumulated damage to the skin.
