My Experience with Innisfree Water Fit Cushion Foundation:

Though most of the Korean brands have their own cushion foundations, they just have two or three shade ranges. Only a few brands which cater to overseas market that have a little more shade variety. Innisfree is one of the brands and I really appreciate the colour range because our very own Indian brands come up with just three shades and expect us to be satisfied with their variety!

This cushion comes in 6 shades and I picked the shade “w33,” which is the darkest variant in the warm range. In the Innisfree cushions, you have to pick up the cushion and the case separately. This is really helpful because the next time you are buying a cushion, you just need the refill and you can select your own case among many colourful ones.

The cushion I bought was the water fit cushion. I bought this product many months ago and I have been using it on and off. After fitting your refill and the air puff, the cushion is complete. It is easier to use air puff with the cushion rather than the brush. I have tried it with Beauty Blender too. It does give an excellent coverage, but with the Beauty Blender, the product needed is more and you can see that you have something on your face. The air brush was perfect for me since I am no makeup genius.

This product contains green tea and it also smells similar to their green tea serum. The product needed is so less and after application, it gives a cooling sensation that you usually get with a hydrating serum or sheet masks. It also gives a subtle glow on the high points of the face and it is like a highlighter cushion in that sense.

Though it is hydrating and imparts a glow, it is neither greasy nor oily after a few hours, but if you are someone with oily skin, this is definitely not going to be your holy grail in summers and in high humidity.

Coming to the coverage, I will say that it imparts low to medium coverage. I have acne scars and it doesn’t cover them completely. It just has a blurring effect on the scars. It remains the same for a few hours when I am out in the sun, but when I am indoors (with or without AC), it stays longer.

After application, leaving it for a minute or two for setting is better if you are not going to use a powder or else you might rub it off because it is essentially like a skin care product that needs to set. This has SPF 34 PA++ which is an additional benefit. Also, if you are not a fan of “dewy skin,” this might not be up to your expectations because this cushion foundation is formulated to add hydration and glow.

Overall, I really like this cushion foundation. Though I wouldn’t prefer it during summer, it will certainly be my best friend during winters.

Pros of Innisfree Water Fit Cushion Foundation:

  • Easy to use and easy to carry in the bag.
  • Imparts hydration.
  • SPF 34 PA++
  • Gives low to moderate coverage and easily buildable.
  • Great cushion product if you like dewy skin.
  • Available in 6 shades.
  • A small amount goes a long way.

Cons of Innisfree Water Fit Cushion Foundation:

  • Might not suit oily skin in summers.
  • Not a good shade range considering the vast difference of skin tones in India.
  • Low to medium coverage only (but considering how light the product is, full coverage cannot be expected).
