Today, I will be reviewing my favourite foaming cleanser till date, and that’s from Innisfree. I have tried the olive, green tea, volcanic ash and sea salt variant, but this one is the best. To know why, read on further.
900 INR for 150 ml.
The brightening cleansing foam that leaves your skin smooth and clean with creamy foam formulated with Jeju tangerine peel squeeze.
How To Use:
When cleansing, release an appropriate amount onto your hand to break the orange capsules to create the foam. Massage onto face and neck and rinse with lukewarm water.
My Experience with Innisfree White Pore Facial Cleanser:
The packaging of this cleanser is chic and unlike the other cleansers from Innisfree. It comes in a long, slender white tube, similar to toothpaste packaging. When I bought the cleanser, it was sealed completely in plastic, and the opening of the tube had foil over it, which had to be peeled off. The plastic had the English version of the details printed over it. The cap is quite sturdy, and closes down completely with a click. Overall, the packaging is quite trendy and travel friendly.
The cleanser is a thick white cream with small beads or capsules dispersed in it. These beads are orange in colour, and contain the active ingredients of tangerine peel, such as vitamin C. The fragrance is of orange peel, and is quite strong and pungent. I like the smell as it is very refreshing. Although the name of the cleanser says “white pore,” it is not a whitening product. It will not lighten your skin tone, but surely brightens up the skin to make it look less tired.
Coming to the application of the product, this cleanser upholds its claim of cleansing and brightening. I like to use this cleanser day and night. In the night, I take a pea-sized amount and a slightly lesser amount in the morning. I moisten my face and hands with water and dispense the product onto my hand. As directed, I create the foam on my hands before applying it to my face. Upon breaking the small capsules, the active ingredients are released and mixed into the foam which then goes onto the face directly. The capsules dissolve completely into the foam without any residue, which makes this cleanser environment friendly. The cleanser converts into a thick, creamy foam that removes most traces of makeup. I use just the cleanser if I have light makeup on, like lipstick and compact powder along with sunscreen. With heavier makeup, I use it as the second step of double cleansing.
The effects of the cleanser are immediate. The face is brightened immediately, and all signs of fatigue vanish. The instant brightening effect is accompanied by a thorough cleansing effect. Afterwards, it does not dry out my face immediately, but I do feel the need to follow up with toner and moisturizer.
I first tried this cleanser as part of a free kit which contained a toner as well from the same line. While the greasy toner didn’t suit my face, the cleanser worked wonders. I feel that this product will work for all skin types – dry, oily and combination. Sensitive skin types must try it at the store as the fragrance is quite strong and contains active ingredients.
