It Cosmetics has been one of my top favorite brands, mainly because I find the product from this brand to be very consistent in quality. I have had many hits from this brand which makes me repeatedly buy new items to try out from them.  This review will be on the It Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Palette.

My Experience with It Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Palette:

Packaging:  I love how sleek the palette is. The case is sturdy cardboard with a magnetic closure and a nice-sized mirror inside. It consists of 3 products for the face  – a brightening powder, a matte blush and a matte bronzer.

Brightening Power:  This is a pale beige-based translucent powder with small dots of green and purple in it which are supposed to help with color correction. This powder goes on mostly translucent with just a hint of color which helps with the brightening effect. I cannot detect any of the green or purple hue coming through mainly because the quantity of them is too little to make any difference. Nevertheless, it is a very finely milled silky powder which just makes the area it is applied to appear more refined and airbrushed. As per claim, it does brighten up the area, but the effect is very natural and subtle and does not look like you have any makeup or powder sitting on your skin.

I love to set my under eye concealer with this powder, but it can be used all over the face too. My skin is dry, so I rarely powder my whole face, but if you have oily skin, you can do this. Though this powder does impart a nice smooth matte finish, it is not the most outstanding at controlling oil. It performs average in that aspect. Since it is winter time, I rarely get too much shine on my skin, hence the shine control properties of this powder work good enough for me. But if you have incredibly oily skin, don’t rely on just this powder to keep shine at bay for your whole day.

Matte blush:  The blush is a matte fiery coral color. It is a very summer-y color and brings life to your face. Even though it has no hint of shimmer, the finish is not flat. I like the fact that the matte finish gives me versatility to use it as it or top with a highlighter of my own choice. This color will flatter all skin tones. The pigmentation is very good and you need the slightest tap of your brush to get a good amount of color. If you are not careful, you can easily go overboard with it.

Matte bronzer:  This is a warm-toned bronzer and has good pigmentation, but not as strongly pigmented as the blush. It still requires a light hand to use this bronzer or you can easily end up with tiger stripes on your face. Since this is a warm-toned bronzer, I cannot use it to get a super sharp chiseled contour, but I do use it to add some definition, warmth and a sun-kissed look to the skin. It blends effortlessly and is easily buildable without looking streaky. It has a matte appearance just like the blush, but it does not look flat. The effect is very natural looking. I can see this shade being the most flattering on “light-medium” and even slightly tan skin tones. Very dark skin may have difficulty having this shade show up and very pale girls might find this shade too clashing with their skin tone. This color makes for a great everyday eyeshadow too.

Texture:  All 3 powders are very smooth to touch and do not feel chalky. They do kick the slightest bit of powder when you dip your brush in, but overall, I face no issue with the blendability of these powders. If you do go overboard with either the blush or bronzer, you can dust the brightening powder over it to reduce the intensity.

They do not cling to or accentuate my dry patches and I love that they are paraben free and cruelty free.

Staying Power:  Staying power is pretty good. It stays for 6 hours before I start to notice some fading, but I can still see some color by the end of the day.

Overall, this is an absolute hit for me. I love how this palette makes “doing makeup” easier by giving you 3 face products in one. I can see it being a staple in my travel kitty. I would definitely recommend this palette.
