This palette came out around January last year. Since then it has been much raved about. Due to its pretty matte collection, I also wanted to try it myself. So, here are my thoughts.

My Experience with It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette:
Packaging is not great, but not that bad too. It has a velvet cloth containing sponge and cardboard as a cover. Downside is that the sponge can get damaged by any piercing object, like mine did.
There is a magnetic lid to secure the palette. Inside, there is good sized mirror on a golden colored flap and other side has golden colored base containing 14 eye-shadows and one transforming pearl. On the back of the palette, there is a quote mentioned along with manufacturing and weight details. All eyes-shadows weigh about 0.8g and the transforming pearl is 1.82g in weight.
The palette proclaims anti-aging properties, diffusing the look of wrinkles on eyes. It is infused with peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, silk, antioxidants and drops of light technology. It is free of paraben, talc, fragrance, sulfate etc. I cannot comment on the anti aging benefits as I do not have aging signs around my eyes.
The 14 shadows are like butter, creamy and smooth. They are extremely soft to touch. There is imprint of “It” on every eye-shadow which eventually gets removed with usage. These can be used wet or dry (as eye liners etc).
Matte eye-shadows have a tendency to be chalky, but not these! Instead, they have a nice sheen. And, the best part is that despite the sheen, these shadows look pretty natural on my eyelids.
According to the product description, transforming pearl gives a pearlescent finish on the eye-shadows but I did not find it so. Rather in my opinion it can be used as matte highlighter for any area on face. For matte eye-shadows the pigmentation is quite good. Below are the swatches of all the eye-shadows without primer.
Here we see that ‘Sheer Joy’ and ‘Soft Light’ do not show on my skin that well. These can give even color to eyelids if there are visible veins as in my case. ‘Warmth’, ‘Soulful’ and ‘Mocha’ can be very good crease colors. ‘Violet’, ‘Midnight’ and ‘Noir’ can give a smoky, party or nighttime look.
Eye-shadow ‘Love’ is not visible on my skin. ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Sunset’ are very flattering summery colors. They will look very pretty as crease or all over color for eyes. ‘All heart’, ‘Java’ and ‘Iconic’ are prefect colors for smoky eyes. I tried using less pigmented colors with water but it did not work.
The ‘Transforming Pearl’ swatch as you see is almost matte and will not help to change any eye-shadow finish. The staying power of these is about 5-6 hours without primer on my oily eyelids. That is an amazing record for me!!

It is too expensive to have packaging this fragile, IMO. I like the shades – all are matte and pretty. Like the palette, but not the packaging.
I was bummed for the packaging too!
Cute though flimsy packaging 🙁 Not worth the price. I like the shades though 😀
