This post is about the second J.Cat Beauty jumbo pencil. These “Big Eye” pencils are like the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and they even look alike except the former is slimmer. I liked the performance of this product which was a surprise because I didn’t like the performance of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. JCat pencils instilled my faith in such pencils. My Take on J.Cat Beauty BEP118 Dark Chocolate The Big Eye Pencil:
This is a pretty color to dabble with and wanted to add it to my vanity, hence, I bought it as part of my drugstore haul.
Packaging: The product comes in a thick pencil form with white outer cover and a clear plastic cap, just like NYX jumbo pencils. The cap is prone to cracks and breakage. I wish the pencil had a twist up mechanism but instead, it has to be sharpened every time and the whole process is messier because of the super soft texture of the product.
Texture: The texture is super soft and buttery. It is very easy to apply and blend. Before I wear my makeup, I apply Maracuja oil around my eyes as my skin care regime and that tends to break my makeup at times despite a good primer underneath. But, this product did not crease or break especially after I topped it with a green colored powder eye shadow.
Color: The name is deceiving because it is more of a dark rose gold shade rather than dark “chocolate”; nevertheless, it is still a very pretty color and looks good on warm skin tone.
Pigmentation: One sweep gives a good color pay off and gives a brilliant color payoff which would look equally pretty on fair and dark skin toned beauties.
Wear time: Once applied, do not mess with it for at least 15 seconds or top it up with a powder shadow or a translucent powder, and then it stays for good 8 to 12 hours.

• Needs to be sharpened, which leads to product wastage
• Cap is very fragile
• Name of the shade is deceiving
Would I Repurchase J.Cat Beauty BEP118 Dark Chocolate The Big Eye Pencil?
Not this particular shade because it would last me a while, but would like to buy other shades from this range. I do recommend it to readers and is worth a try.
