Hi lovely readers!
This is the first JCat Beauty shadow I bought as a part of my recent makeup haul and this is the first of the shades I chose to write about. Read on further to know more about this product.
Allow your eyes to soar with vivid pigments from an immense selection of Flying Solo eye shadows. The collection glides for every girl—from classic neutrals to the trendsetting shades in mattes and shimmers. The high-quality formula and texture can be worn wet or dry.
My Take on J.Cat Beauty House Party Flying Solo Eyeshadow:
Packaging: I love the packaging. It is smaller than my MAC mono eyeshadows; product comes in a nice little shiny black case. A clear window shows the product and has the product name printed in black lettering. On the back, is an ingredients sticker, that also tells the name of the color. These are quite small but the underside of the pan has a tiny mirror (so cute) and also a tiny sponge applicator is provided. For just $2.99, JCat went all out with packaging.
Texture: It is a powder compact eyeshadow set in a circular aluminum pan and has a very smooth texture, easy to apply. It has a satin finish, but has surprisingly negligible fall out and is easy to pick up on a brush, makes dry/wet application equally easy.
Color: It is a soft coral color but has more cool pink undertones with very subtle, golden shimmer particles in it which give a wearable satin finish.
Pigmentation: Pigmentation is not that good, but it is not disappointing either because most dry eyeshadows can’t be worn without a good eye primer any way. I gently swiped my fingertips on the shadows a few times to pick up some product for the swatches and was delighted to see that it had minimal fallout. It is a dry/wet shadow and can be used either way but it gives a better wear time if applied with a damp brush and a primer underneath.
Application: I use it on my lids mostly for highlighting purposes – under the brow, in the corner of the eyes and so on, and it can be worn alone as well for a subtle color on lids.
Wear Time: 8 to 9 hours and maybe more, but I removed it after that, but it did stay put during the entire duration that I wore it. One can increase the wear time with a primer or white eyeshadow underneath.
This is a very good product for the price and I love this particular shade. I bought 3 shadows from this range and all of them are unique shades. I prefer palettes since they occupy less space, but the colors were so irresistible that I had to try out these shadows.
