Packaging:
It comes packaged in a good quality plastic box, which has a golden coloured cap. This plastic box comes in a white coloured cardboard box. The cap is embossed with Jane Iredale’s logo. The cap closes firmly and there are no chances of spilling and wastage of the product.
My Experience with Jane Iredale Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder:
For my moderately fair skin, I was suggested to use loose mineral powder in the shade Warm Sienna to achieve full coverage with my foundation, and for better sun protection. The shade Warm Sienna is light to medium, with strong yellow undertones. It has a soft and silky texture, and gives a luminous finish. The powder blends easily, is sensitivity tested and stays put.
Gentle and safe for sensitive skin, made from micronized minerals, free of synthetic chemicals, oil free and weightless. I use my Natio Kabuki Brush to apply this powder after my foundation and concealer. It gives a beautiful, luminous glow to the skin and my skin feels soft and supple after application.
This powder does not feel powdery, has a smooth texture, blends easily and stays on for a long time. A very little amount is required, and its intensity is buildable for a desired look from sheer to full coverage. It does not irritate or dry out my sensitive skin. It gives a glamorous look to my face, feels light and silky. It is neither creamy nor very dry; has a satiny texture. This one is an amazing base powder that can be used for regular use, for special occasions and for evenings.
However, I like using it during day time since it has SPF 20. When used with Jane Iredale Tinted Moisturizer, it gives full coverage. However, when used directly over a normal moisturiser or face cream, without foundation or concealer, the coverage is sheer to medium.
The staying power is very good, needs to be removed with a makeup remover. It does not clog or accentuate my pores but helps to conceal redness. It also diffuses the appearance of fine lines and pores with its soft focus effect. This is, overall, an amazing base that gives a perfect luminous finish and a beautiful, natural glow to my face.
