Today, I am reviewing Jane Iredale Aquamarine Mystikol Eyeliner and Highlighter. The Aquamarine Mystikol has a sea green eye liner on one end and a shimmery silver highlighter on the other. Jane Iredale claims that their Mystikol gives a saturated look but feels creamy. To know more about this eyeliner cum highlighter, please continue reading.
Product Description: A totally new kind of eyeliner and highlighter; that creates definition around the eye for a soft, smoky eye effect. Double ended with rich colour on one end and a highlighter on the other. A powder eyeliner that enables you to create a smoky eye in seconds without any mess.
⦁ Mica makes the eyeliner easy to glide.
⦁ Iron oxide provides pigment to the product.
How to Use: Apply the rich eyeliner and highlighter directly to the eye with the sponge applicator. Blend with finger, sponge tip or brush if desired.
Packaging: Jane Iredale Mystikol is packaged in a sea green coloured dual ended pencil with a twist open plastic cap on each side. This comes packaged in a white coloured cardboard box. This dual ended pencil has a sponge applicator on each side with an in-built spring. The plastic cap is filled with shimmery silver highlighter on one end and a sea green eyeliner on the other. The sponge tip is tapered on each side, which helps deposit the mineral powder formula on the eyes. The packaging is easy to hold and travel-friendly. Bingo! As we get two-in-one product: a highlighter and an eyeliner!
My Experience with Jane Iredale Aquamarine Mystikol Eyeliner and Highlighter:
Having used and reviewed Jane Iredale Mystikol – Amethyst and since it’s summer time, I decided to experiment with this Aquamarine shade. It is a sea green eyeliner with a shimmery silver highlighter. Mystikol eyeliner can be used for eye lining the upper and lower lashes, and the highlighter can be applied below the eyebrow, on the inner corners of the eyes, or as an eyeshadow on the upper lid.
This Mystikol eyeliner and highlighter can also be used to create smokey eyes or to add a smudged look to the eyes. I apply the sea green eyeliner on my upper lid as a traditional eyeliner and the shimmery silver highlighter on my upper eyelid as an eyeshadow, or below my eyebrow and near the inner corners of my eyes. Mystikol has all good for skin ingredients, does not cause any irritation or burning sensation. This eyeliner is intensely pigmented and long-lasting, does not fade or smudge after settling down.
However, the eyeliner sponge applicator does not help much in depositing the product on the eyelids, needs to be dipped into the cap several times and reapplied to get the desired effect. I use jane iredale detail brush. I dip the detail brush into the eyeliner cap and then apply the eyeliner on my upper lid; one or two swipes give the desired effect. Sea green eyeliner shade is buildable to get the desired effect, gives a saturated look to my eyes. Shimmery silver highlighter is easy to use and the sponge applicator easily deposits the product on the eyes, feels creamy and smooth, but needs to be evened out with an eyeshadow brush or finger.
The highlighter is nicely pigmented with a subtle shimmer, which is not gritty. Both – the eyeliner and the highlighter – easily last for six to eight hours, need to be washed off or removed with a make-up remover. The shades do not fade or crease. Mystikol is a gluten-free product – it does not contain wheat. However, it is not vegan and contains beeswax.
Pros of Jane Iredale Aquamarine Mystikol Eyeliner and Highlighter:

⦁ Nicely pigmented and good lasting power
⦁ Formulated with exclusive skin care ingredients
⦁ Does not irritate or cause burning sensation

Cons of Jane Iredale Aquamarine Mystikol Eyeliner and Highlighter:
