My Experience with Jane Iredale Botanical Makeup Remover:

I have been using Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for removing makeup for the last few years. Later, when I was introduced to Forest Essentials through IMBB I started using Forest Essentials Floral Makeup Remover. I used to alternate between these two products depending on my skin requirements. However, this year I developed a pore-clogging issue, which would result in breakouts.

This year during summers, I started getting breakouts very often. Even the products which would otherwise suit my sensitive and combination skin type, would react badly. Probably I was not wiping or washing off the balm or oil properly from my skin. Hence, I decided to opt for a water-based cleanser and play it safe. So, I bought Jane Iredale Botanical Makeup Remover.

Jane Iredale Botanical Makeup Remover Back

It’s a transparent, water-based liquid. I pour it on a cotton pad and swipe it all over my face, including my eyes and lips. It removes most of the makeup in one go. However, for heavy foundation and long-lasting makeup, two to three swipes are required. My skin feels cleansed, nourished and refreshed after using this one. It does not dry or irritate my sensitive skin. It does not irritate my eyes or lip contour area.

I have been using this makeup remover regularly ever since I bought it. I am about to finish the can and hence thought it definitely deserves a review. It calms my sensitive skin, including breakouts and skin rashes. Skin feels cool, nourished and mildly moisturised. It removes all traces of makeup, in two to three swipes. I then make it a point to wash my face using a facial scrub or face wash, before applying night cream or moisturiser. In my opinion, this cleanser can be used by sensitive as well as acne prone type.

Jane Iredale Botanical Makeup Remover Swatch

It suits my combination and sensitive skin which tends to dry or irritate easily. I am still using this cleanser; however as severe winter starts, I will probably switch back to my all-time favourite cleanser, Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. I will definitely repurchase Jane Iredale Botanical Makeup Remover and use it regularly during summers and as a backup when I have skin irritation or breakouts.
