Product Description: New dual sided brush creates longer, fuller looking lashes. Developed with a proprietary blend of seaweed lipids and wheat protein that thicken, curl and strengthen lashes. Triple length cellulose fibres add extra length and thickness. Formulated with panthenol, which helps condition lashes. Created to protect lashes in order to reduce splitting and breaking. Free of lacquers, shellac, and petroleum based ingredients.
My Experience with Jane Iredale Brown Black Purelash Lengthening Mascara:
The Purelash Lengthening Mascara comes packaged in a golden coloured cylindrical shaped packaging with a screw on cap which has a dual sided brush attached. This cylindrical shaped packaging comes in a white coloured cardboard box. It feels luxurious to hold and is travel friendly.
Mascara is not my daily cup of coffee, since I have sensitive eyes. I use mascara only for special occasions, events and meetings. Hence I do not buy mascara so often. I have used quite a few brands like Revlon, Clinique and Estée Lauder. This time I decided to experiment mascara from Jane Iredale and I picked Purelash Lengthening Mascara in brown black shade.
It’s a shade darker than my eye lashes and gives a richer and thicker look to my thin, fragile eyelashes. It is powder based and has a smooth texture which does not itch, irritate or scratch. I first apply Jane Iredale Purelash Extender & Conditioner, which I got as a free sample in the same box and then apply Purelash Lengthening Mascara. When used together, it adds more volume and gives longer and thicker effect. However for my EOTD, I have skipped Jane Iredale Purelash Extender & Conditioner. After application of the mascara in brown black, eyelashes feel conditioned and textured. It gives natural looking longer, fuller and thicker effect to my eyelashes.
Luckily this mascara does not irritate or cause any burning sensation in my eyes. It does not dry instantly and hence several strokes can be applied to get the desired built-up effect from light to heavy. I use this mascara only on my upper eyelashes. I am still not habituated to applying mascara on my lower eyelashes. The shade is nicely pigmented and is long lasting. It needs to be removed using an eye makeup remover.
This brown black shade gives a nice natural rich look and colour effect to my lashes which are light and thin. The dual edged brush makes it easy to maximise lashes from top and bottom. It helps protect the lashes, which reduces splitting and breaking. This mascara has wheat; hence it is not gluten free. It also contains beeswax, hence it is not vegan. Company claims that this mascara is free from lacquers, shellac and petroleum based products, which inclined me to buy this product. Overall, I like this mascara and I am quite happy with my new pick.
