How to Apply:
Gently press your liner brush into the jelly jar. Apply along the lash line with the angle eyeliner brush for a precise line. Try connecting short dashes right next to the lash line, then sweeping the brush along the line to thicken it as desired; wing out with an upward flick for a cat eye; or smudge with fingertip or the smudge brush for a smoky look. Try any of our other eyeliner brushes for different effects.
Packaging:
This eyeliner comes packaged in a frosted glass tiny jar with a golden colored screw on cap; the cap protects the liner from drying up quickly. This cute jar comes packaged in a white colored cardboard box. The packaging is cute and travel-friendly.
My Experience with Jane Iredale Brown Jelly Jar Gel Eyeliner:
After trying and loving Stila Smudge Pot – Black, I decided to experiment with an eyeliner from Jane Iredale. Hence I picked up this jelly gel brown eyeliner. This jelly gel brown eyeliner has a creamy and smooth texture.
It’s a dark chocolate brown shade which gives a matte and inky finish. It can be used as an eyeliner on the upper lids, near the lower lash or smudged to create a smoky look. This creamy eyeliner glides smoothly but an extra effort and practice are required to apply it evenly. The pigmentation of this eyeliner is good and the lasting power is decent too.
Sometimes, this eyeliner tends to fade quickly and unevenly within a few hours of application. In my opinion, it needs to be set well if you want it to stay on your eyes for some time. For this, eyelids need to be mildly powdered after applying concealer or primer. In case your eyelids are oily, this eyeliner won’t set to a perfect matte finish. Therefore, it will fade after some time.
As claimed, this eyeliner is water-resistant. However, on continuous exposure to water, it tends to fade gradually (this was tested on my hand swatch). The line needs to be removed with a makeup remover. Also, this eyeliner does not irritate or burn my sensitive eyes. I use it on my upper lids as a traditional eyeliner, sometimes near the lower lash and have tried it as an eyeshadow on my upper lids for a smoky effect. The shade ‘Brown’ is buildable and you can get the effects you want.
You need to be quick during application, especially while smudging, for it sets quickly. The cap of the jar needs to be closed immediately if you wish to prevent the eyeliner from drying up. I apply this shade using my Jane Iredale Detail Brush and the liner gives a beautiful definition to my eyes. It can be worn on special occasions as well as in your day to day life. I prefer to use this liner only on special occasions because I feel Stila one is more convenient.

Would I Recommend Jane Iredale Brown Jelly Jar Gel Eyeliner?
Yes if you want to use an eyeliner which has good-for-skin ingredients and does not irritate or burn your eyes.
