Key Ingredients:
Contains soothing castor seed oil and nourishing vitamin E to condition, soften and smooth your lips.
Packaging:
Comes packaged in a wooden beige-gold coloured pencil with a plastic cap. The pencil comes packaged in a white coloured cardboard box. There is a silver coloured thin ring, followed by a bubble-gum pink coloured band (colour of the shade) at the base of the pencil. Easy to pick, if you happen to have more than one shade. The cap closes firmly, hence is travel friendly.
My Experience with Jane Iredale Charming PlayOn Lip Crayon:
Actually this is the first lip crayon in my vanity. This review was due for quite some time, so here I am sharing it with you all today. Charming is a creamy bubble-gum pink shade. The texture is smooth and creamy and glides and applies easily. Does not spread or smudge, but transfers. Hence, end up giving coloured kisses.????????
The lasting power is around four to six hours, without having anything. The pigmentation reduces after sipping tea or coffee and fades after meals, sometimes just vanishes. It can be easily wiped off or washed. It does not dry or dehydrate my sensitive lips. Its good-for-skin ingredients keep my lips soft, supple and nourished. Charming is a beautiful shade and gives a nice pink definition to my lips.
Pigmentation is good and two swipes give an opaque finish to my pigmented lips. It is a nice colour for spring and summers. It can be used for regular wear or on special occasions. This creamy shade can be applied under pink coloured matte lipsticks to give a smooth effect to the lips. I like wearing my Jane Iredale Sugar Plum PureGloss Lip Gloss over this lip crayon and it gives a nice pink and shimmery glossy shine to my lips. The packaging is travel friendly.
The only drawback is that a jumbo sharpener needs to be purchased separately. Luckily for me, this lip crayon can be sharpened with Lipstick Queen’s jumbo sharpener which came along with their lip crayon. Compared to Lipstick Queen cupid’s bow, the staying power is very low, and this color transfers and fades easily. Hence, I may reconsider before purchasing my next shade.
