My Experience with Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip Plumper – Tokyo:
Tokyo Lip Plumper comes in a sleek chrome coloured packaging which has a golden coloured ring in the center. The lipstick tube is light gold coloured in the inside and has Jane Iredale inscribed in the red coloured font. This tube comes packed in a white coloured cardboard box. The sleek shape of the tube makes the packaging travel-friendly and feels nice to hold.
I have thoroughly enjoyed using Jane Iredale Montreal Lip Plumper, which I have reviewed here; I recently picked two more shades from Jane Iredale Lip Plumper: Rio, a rosy brown which is already reviewed on IMBB and Tokyo a shimmery pink, which I am reviewing today. Sometimes, I like wearing sheer lip colours which give a mild plumped effect and keeps your lips moisturised. Tokyo Lip Plumper is a beautiful peachy pink, with very subtle shimmer. The shimmer is not noticeable.
The texture is soft, smooth and balmy. It glides on smoothly and evenly. There is no tugging or pulling. It is mildly pigmented, two to three swipes give a sheer finish to my pigmented lips. The lasting power is three hours or so, without eating or drinking. However, even after fading, the balmy feeling remains on the lips for a few hours. It lightens and fades after having a tea or coffee and gets completely washed out after having a light snack and meals. This shade is mildly pigmented and gives a neutral look and sheer finish to my lips.
This shade is similar to a tinted lip balm. It has natural lip plumping and hydrating agents and does not dry or irritate my sensitive lips. The sleek shape of the tube makes the packaging travel-friendly and also enables easy smooth and precise application. It is best to be used on exfoliated lips, for a smooth, even look and long lasting effect. It has a tingling sensation initially, which gradually disappears! It does not spread or smudge while applying and does not transfer easily. Since this is a neutral shade, I preferring wearing it on days; I want a neutral or no makeup look. Sometimes, I wear this lip plumper beneath dark lipsticks, to give a fuller look as it keeps my lips hydrated. Also, I wear it above the matte lip pencils and matte lip colours to give a tinted and moisturised effect to my lips.
