My Experience with Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals A Foundation:

The foundation comes packaged as liposome beads in a good-quality airless pump bottle, which is transparent. The beige-coloured pump top and base makes the packaging attractive. The bottle comes packaged in a white coloured cardboard box. Packaging is hygienic and can be termed travel friendly.

A few years ago, one of my friends introduced me to the brand “Jane Iredale” by gifting me some makeup products. Jane Iredale liquid minerals foundation in the shade “Warm Sienna” was one of them. Those days, foundation was an occasional treat for my skin, during special occasions, weddings, parties and so on. I had loved using this foundation every moment. This time, I picked Jane Iredale liquid minerals foundation in the shade “Golden Glow,” which is two shades darker than “Warm Sienna.” Warm sienna made my skin one tone fairer and suited my moderately fair skin tone. Golden glow also suits my moderately fair skin, and gives it a natural glow. Well, who doesn’t like that glow in winters? Especially, when the skin looks a bit pale.

Secondly, this foundation formula is hydrating, another plus point to use this formula during autumn and winters. It does not dry, dehydrate or irritate my sensitive skin. The foundation comes in the shape of pearl-like liposomes beads. The packaging is hygienic with an airless pump, which keeps the product air tight, till pumped out for use. I shake the bottle well and then pump out very little amount, mix it well and apply it all over my face starting from the centre of the nose. Usually two pumps are sufficient for the entire face.

This foundation imparts sheer to medium coverage. However, coverage can be built up depending on requirement from sheer to medium. It has a smooth and velvety texture. It feels light on the skin, as if not wearing any foundation. It does not cake or settle into fine lines. It does not accentuate pores or enhance dry skin. It helps cover under eye circles, however a concealer is required to hide dark spots and prominent marks on face.

It can be worn above a moisturiser and a primer. In fact, this is one of those formulas that I do not have any issues with during application on top of high spf 50 primers and face creams. Irt goes on smoothly and evenly. It does not cause any breakouts. It’s suitable for all skin types and can be used for daily wear and for special occasions.
