Product Description:
A totally new kind of eyeliner and highlighter; that creates definition around the eye for a soft, smoky eye effect. Double ended with rich colour on one end and a highlighter on the other. A powder eyeliner that enables you to create a smoky eye in seconds without any mess.

Key Ingredients:
Mica makes the eyeliner easy to glide.
Iron oxide provides pigment to the product.

How to use:
Apply the rich eyeliner and highlighter directly to the eye with the sponge applicator. Blend with finger, sponge tip or brush if desired.

My Experience with Jane Iredale Mystikol – Amethyst:

Basically I am a kohl pencil person and have used Revlon and L’Oreal kohl Pencils. My basic concept of using kohl pencil is to apply kajal near my lower lashes and water line. For applying eye liner on my top lash, I always use dark coloured eyeshadows with a wet eyeliner brush, that too very rarely. Having joined IMBB as a reviewer, I am trying and experimenting something new always and well this was one more addition to my vanity.

Packaging:
Jane Iredale Mystikol is packaged in a smoky purple coloured dual-ended pencil, with golden band and plastic cap on each side, which comes packed in a white coloured cardboard box. The plastic cap is filled with lilac coloured highlighter on one end. A royal purple coloured powder eyeliner is on the other end. Mystikol’s packaging is travel friendly.

Amethyst has a royal purple powder eyeliner and a shimmery lilac highlighter. Royal purple is a dark smokey purple and shimmery lilac is a very light pink and has a shimmery effect. Mystikol eyeliner can be used for lining the upper and lower lashes; highlighter can be used on the brow bone, inner corners of the eyes, or as an eye shadow on the upper lid. The sponge tip is tapered on each side, which deposits the mineral powder formula to the eyes. Mystikol can also be used to create smokey eyes or give a smudged look to the eyes.

The eyeliner is intensely pigmented and long lasting; it does not fade or smudge after settling down. Eyeliner lasts easily for 6 to 8 hours, without smudging or fading; it needs to be washed off or removed with an eye makeup remover. The highlighter is mildly pigmented with subtle shimmer, which is not gritty. The highlighter lasts for lesser time on the brow bone and fades quickly or is not visible after a few hours, but on the inner corner of the eye lashes, it easily lasts for 8 hours or even more. It needs to be washed off or removed with an eye makeup remover. Mystikol gives a beautiful definition to eyes and creates a subtle saturated look. It feels creamy and does not dry or irritate eyes. Overall, I am quite pleased with my new pick.

Jane Iredale

For the picture, I first applied Laura Mercier corrector to my eye contour area and then applied Clinique beyond perfecting powder foundation and concealer, followed by eye shadows on my upper lid from Jane Iredale eye steppes – go cool (which I will be reviewing soon). I applied the royal purple as eyeliner on my upper lid and shimmery lilac pink highlighter below my brow bone and the inner corner of my eyes, and then applied a mascara from Revlon. Hope you like the look. This is my first try, so please bear with me!
