Jane Iredale Rio Just Kissed Lip Plumper Review

I have always been intrigued by lip plumping products all the time, but haven’t really tried any till date. On one of my shopping trips to Nordstrom, I checked out various different brands of makeup other than the regular ones we know and those were Julep and Jane Iredale. The lady at the counter seemed very worried about my thin and small lips. LOL. She suggested me this lip plumper from Jane Iredale and I loved the shade Rio which is a rosy brown shade.

The lip plumper comes in a metallic casing and has the initials embossed on the top of the cap. The twist up mechanism is very smooth and the click lock mechanism is secure to be carried in the purse.

My Experience with Jane Iredale Rio Just Kissed Lip Plumper:

This is my first tryst with a lip plumping product and I am glad I got to use a great brand in makeup. There were a couple of choices there at the store in different shades, but at this moment I am going through a neutral phase and all shades that lean towards more natural looks, grab my attention. I hope it might not last too long as fall is arriving and I have already placed an order for some dark vibrant and vampy shades.

This lip plumper has ingredients like spearmint and peppermint oils, ginger root extract and as soon as I applied it to my lips, I got the tingling feeling. The tingling was sharp at the beginning but lessened with time, but didn’t go away totally till I wiped it clean. I did notice a mild plumping of my lips and they did look nice and even as the very fine lines were looking smooth but not much for the deeper lines. The shade is a universally flattering rosy brown that will look good on a range of skin tones and it’s a creamy matte so you can be very sure that it won’t fade off at the drop of a hat.

Now coming to the negatives, well it has no such negative but only the tingling sensation was bit overwhelming for me. 😀 So, that’s a personal issue.
