Hi lovely readers,

This is the second JCat Beauty shadow I bought as a part of my recent makeup haul and like the last one that I had reviewed, I have good things to say about this particular shade as well. Read on further more details on this eyeshadow.

My Take on JCat Beauty 3rd Place Flying Solo Eyeshadow:

Packaging: I love the packaging. It is smaller than my MAC mono eyeshadows; the product comes in a nice little shiny black case. A clear window shows the product and has the product name printed in black lettering. On the reverse side, ingredients list and the shade name are mentioned. These are quite small but the underside of the pan has a tiny mirror (so cute) and also a tiny sponge applicator is provided (which is cuter). For just $2.99, JCat went all out with packaging.

Texture: It is a powder compact eyeshadow set in a circular aluminum pan which has a very smooth texture and is easy to apply. It has a satin-shimmer finish, but has surprisingly negligible fall out and is easy to pick up on a brush and makes dry/wet application equally easy.

Color:  It is a bronze color with orange undertones – I like the color a lot, in fact, I like it so much that I have two other eyeshadows of similar shade in my collection and yet I couldn’t resist purchasing another one.

Pigmentation: Pigmentation is good and is better than the last shade that I had reviewed.  One swipe gives a good color payoff. I gently swiped my finger tips on the shadows a few times to pick up some product for the swatches and was delighted to see that it had minimal fallout. It is a dry/wet shadow and can be used either way, but it gives a better wear time if applied with a damp brush and a primer underneath.

Application: I used it on my lids, but mostly, for highlighting purposes – under the brow, in the corner of the eyes and so on and can be worn alone as well for a subtle color on lids.

Wear Time:  8 to 9 hours and maybe more, but I removed it after that, but it did stay put during the entire duration I wore it. One can increase the wear time if one uses a primer or white eyeshadow underneath.

This is a very good product for the money paid and I loved this particular shade. I bought 3 shadows from this range and all of them are unique shades. I prefer palettes since they occupy less space but the colors were so irresistible that I had to try out these shadows.
