Every brand has come up with their own versions of liquid lipstick. In this post, I am going to review one of the most popular brands known for their liquid lipsticks – Jeffree Star and their popular Velour Liquid Lipsticks. It’s a vegan and cruelty-free brand. The shade range is huge: from nudes to bold blue and black! I am gonna review the shade “Androgyny” from the velour liquid lipstick range today.

My Experience with Jeffree Star Androgyny Velour Liquid Lipstick:
The liquid lipstick comes in a transparent and high-end looking plastic tube with a pink cap that has rose gold stars printed on it. The brand name is also printed in rose gold fonts on the front. It has a clear wand and the cap is secure.
In fact, you get a click sound when you close the cap completely. Ah, satisfying, isn’t it? This liquid lipstick has a sweet fruity scent. I like this particular scent in this velour liquid lipstick, but the scent disappears after a while.
The shade Androgyny is a plumy grayish mauve. It was a part of Jeffree Star’s holiday collection last year which had a white cap. But then this shade became so popular that the brand had to bring it back. Now this shade is available in the regular pink cap packaging. It will suit a variety of skin tones.
It is very pigmented and opaque. It’s quite liquidy, so you have to have a steady hand while applying. The wand is very unique and has a bend which holds a sufficient amount of product to cover the entire lip in a single swipe.
It dries down completely matte and feels super lightweight on the lips and does not settle into the fine lines of my lips. But since it’s a matte liquid lipstick, it will accentuate any dry patches, so make sure you exfoliate and moisturise your lips before applying.
On me, it lasts for about 6 to 7 hours without budging and it starts to fade from the inside of lips if you eat oily food. You might notice a little transfer too.
