Who doesn’t love a bold matte lip? Who doesn’t want their lipsticks to stay put for hours? Everyone does, right!! Everyone is obsessing over liquid lipsticks this year. Every brand has come up with their own versions of liquid lipstick. In this post, I am going to review one of the most popular brands known for their liquid lipsticks – Jeffree Star and their popular Velour liquid lipsticks. It’s a vegan and cruelty-free brand. The shade range is huge, from n*des to bold blue and black! I am gonna review the shade “Rose Matter” from the velour liquid lipstick range today.

My Experience with Jeffree Star Rose Matter Velour Liquid Lipstick:
The liquid lipstick comes in a transparent and high-end looking plastic tube with a pink cap that has rose gold stars printed on it. The brand name is also printed in rose gold fonts on the front.
It has a clear wand and the cap is secure. In fact, you get a click sound when you close the cap completely. Ah! Satisfying, isn’t it? This liquid lipstick has a sweet fruity scent, I like this particular scent, but it disappears after a while.
“Rose Matter” is a coral-pink shade. There is enough coral to brighten up your face. This will look good on everyone and all skin tones. It is very pigmented and opaque. It’s quite liquid-y, so you have to have a steady hand while applying. The wand is very unique and has a bend which holds a sufficient amount of product to cover the entire lip in a single swipe.
It dries down completely matte and feels super lightweight on the lips and does not settle into fine lines of my lips. But since it’s a matte liquid lipstick, it will accentuate any dry patches, so make sure you exfoliate and moisturize your lips before applying.
On me, it lasted for about 6 to 7 hours without budging and it will start to fade inside if you eat oily food. You might notice a little transfer.
