Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry moisturizer

All that doing the dishes and washing the clothes has made my hands really dry. If only I could shift into a hotel, I would never move out, ever!!!! My elbows are also rough from that habit of resting my elbows on the table. My face is very oily; there are days when I feel the oil will start dripping in some time. Luckily, it has not happened yet. I own non-oily stuff mostly, so have been looking for some lotion or crème which would solve my problem.

I tried Nivea Soft Cream. You can read the review here on IMBB. It worked well, but I was looking for something which would last me all day. Hence, I bought this lotion.

What It Claims:

Made with a blend of C, E and B5, this fast-absorbing body lotion goes deep beneath skin’s surface to lock in moisture and heal dryness at the source, preventing its unwelcome return.
• Penetrates through 5 layers of skin’s surface to start healing at the source
• Helps heal extra dry skin—including heels, elbows and knees
• Triples skin’s moisture content with continued use
• Provides 24-hour relief.

Jergens Moisturizer

Use Jergens® Ultra Healing® Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer with Jergens® Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer for 3x smoother, softer skin.

What It Did For Me:

It is meant for dry skin, so it is on the heavier side. I don’t have dry skin, so I only used it on my hands. The claim of lasting 24 hours must be true because my hands were moisturized even after I washed my hands. Now, it is not fast-absorbing for me, I have to work it into the skin. My hands have started looking like they belong to somebody civilized (almost!!!!) after using this.

To sum it up, I love the effect it has on my dry hands. I think you’ll love it if you have dry or very dry skin. This is one of the things that will see you through the winter without that itchy and dry skin. If you don’t need something heavy, you can also try the Jergens Original Scent Dry Skin moisturizer.

Ingredients:

WATER, GLYCERIN, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, PETROLATUM, MINERAL OIL, CETEARETH-20, ALUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, ASCORBYL PALMITATE*, TOCOPHEROL**, PANTHENOL***, TYLENE GLYCOL, LECITHIN, ALCOHOL, CETYL-PG HYDROXYETHYL PALMITAMIDE, ALLANTOIN, DIMETHICONE, GLYCERYL DILAURATE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, STEARIC ACID, CARBOMER, METHYLPARABEN, PROPYLPARABEN, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, DMDM HYDANTOIN, FRAGRANCE.

Pros of Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer

• Extremely moisturizing.
• Doesn’t get washed away by water.
• A very good quantity given the price.
• Ideal for rough elbows and knees.

Cons of Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer

• It contains paraben and alcohol. Personally, I don’t like either.
• I think it can be used only in winters as it is a bit too heavy for summer.

  1. Alchohol? :nonono: :nonono: :nababana: :nababana:
My hands constantly shift between looking like dainty princess hands and grubby neanderthal hands. :struggle: :lol2:

    1. Denatured alcohol was there in nivea soft as well :yuck: :yuck:

      neanderthal man :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

My hands are now of different shades and I have stopped bothering about it now :idk:

    1. I got it from violetbag.com myself……but my local cosmetics shop also stores it but then he has some pretty cool stuff as well…..there are times when I wonder if he is into smuggling goods :stars: :stars:

  2. 4 bottles?!
Merse toh ek bhi bottle body lotion khatam nahi hota…. :stars: :stars:
Magar my lacto calamine wala bottle gets over fassht. :dumb: :dumb:

    1. Hey PD i am a sucker of body lotions and lacto calamine.. my mom say that i drink the body lotion as i finish them so fastt fasstt :yahoo: :yahoo:

  3. I too am using this one and find it really good! bought it for my bf as he has severe dry skin and he loves it too..i totally agree its on heavier side and would be perfect for dry skinned gals :waytogo: overall its a nice moisturizer :waytogo:

  4. Just want to say – I bought this two months ago on impulse, without knowing how it would work. And this is one of the best body lotions I’ve ever used, and my current favorite. The Dove Green Tea one I used to use stopped being available locally, so I wanted to look for alternatives in stores around before purchasing my lotion online. And I’m so glad I found this!
I have rather dry skin, and this moisturizes it so well! One major plus point is that it does not leave any sticky / greasy feel on the skin within a few minutes after applying, even in the summers. And I’m talking about boiling hot, sweaty, sticky, humid summers! I love that it’s so affordable, although even if it were priced double, I would still continue to buy it.
Hope this mine-review of mine benefits one of you! 🙂
