John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum: Extra Strength Formula Review

John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum

Extra Strength For Coarse Extremely Frizzy or Chemically Damaged Hair

Hi All,

JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ EASE HAIR SERUM

John Frieda is much famous for their hair serums. They have much variety to select from. They make hair serums for all type of hair like curly, straight, dry, normal.  I selected hair serum extra strength (step 3 Smooth and Defrizz).  This is one of the most raved about hair serums. It was recommended to me by a relative of mine. From the first day of use, I could easily find the reason behind that recommendation.

John Frieda

This hair serum comes in an attractive purple pump dispenser. Its texture is jelly and has no color. It is meant for dry, frizz-prone hair.

Price:

Rs. 690 for 50 ml.

My Take on John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum:

First of all, I want to begin by stating that I don’t have an extremely frizzy hair and I am not a fan of hair serums. Whenever I have used any hair serum, I couldn’t find any noticeable difference in my hair, so it was never a part of my hair routine, but I always suffered from split ends. No matter how many times I cut my hair, my hair ends get dry and always result in split ends. Each hair strand gets split into many strands and its a very heartbreaking sight for me.  All my friends and relatives know about my problem and my mom’s sister recommended this hair serum to me.

From the first use, I could feel the difference; my hair felt soft, shiny and a lot more manageable and the most important thing was that my split ends problem got almost resolved. To test its effects, I stopped using it for some time and then, my hair condition was back to square one.

On the bottle, it is advised to use on soaking wet hair, after squeezing out the excess moisture in hair. I do exactly the same. Then, sometimes depending on the time, I choose to either let my hair air dry or go for blow drying.  Blow drying gives the maximum benefits and it makes my hair visibly shiny and attractive. Even if I choose air drying my hair, the shine is there, but not as visible when compared to what I get with blow drying.  Both the options give stronger hair, less prone to frizz and split ends. I use it once or twice a week.

Summing up its pros and cons:

Pros of John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum:

  • Lives up to its claims, it gives frizz-free hair.
  • Made my hair stronger and so I have less split ends.
  • Gives a healthy shine to the hair.
  • No color and no smell.
  • Sturdy and attractive packaging. Pump dispenser limits the amount for every use and ensures no wastage. Purple color is also an added advantage for me.
  • It works well on extremely frizzy hair too. I have seen its miraculous effect on my aunt who has extremely frizzy  hair (which is a result of chemical treatments).

Cons of John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum:

  • Availability, it’s the major con of this product.  I have seen this online only.
  • A little bit pricey.

Other than these, I am not able find any con about this product. I am totally in love with this product.

My Rating:

4.25 /5 (Minus marks for availability only).

Will I Repurchase?

Without any doubt, YES, YES, and a big YES. In fact, I am planning to buy the thermal protection one also; I will get it as soon as I see it online.
