Today’s review is on a face wash that I randomly picked up while shopping online. I did not have high expectations from this face wash as this brand is new to me. Read on to know if it is worth a purchase.
What the product claims:
Lemon extracts remove all traces of acne causing dirt and grime and refresh complexion. Skin becomes visibly flawless and satiny smooth. Revivo exfoliators gently remove impurities and dead cells making skin as clean and fresh as crystal clear water.
INR 125 for 150g (I got it at a buy one get one offer)
My experience with Jolen Face Wash Gel with Lemon Extract:
Off late my skin is acting a little weird and is shifting from dry to combination skin. I thought of trying this face wash as it claims of having lemon extracts which will help control the oil secretion. The face wash comes in a huge tube which is quite sturdy. The flip cap shuts tight thus there is no spillage from the tube. The consistency is that of a gel, slightly on the runny side. It has a subtle lemony fragrance which is quite refreshing. It lathers up decently and you need only a small amount to clean the face and the neck area.
This definitely keeps the face oil free for long hours and does not rip off moisture from the face. I have not noticed any dry patches around my cheeks or mouth after using this. My face feels clean and this does not leave a slippery feeling behind. I have noticed that it removes light make up from my face on slight massaging but the long stay ones won’t budge at all. Also, this product did not break me out. The major con with this product is that it is loaded with the chemicals we wish to stay away from.
Pros of Jolen Face Wash Gel with Lemon Extract:
• Cleans skin effectively.
• Keeps face oil free for long.
• Does not rip off the moisture from the face.
• Did not break me out.
• Removes light make up from the face with slight massage.
• Has a lemony fragrance which is quite refreshing.
• Packaging is sturdy.
Cons of Jolen Face Wash Gel with Lemon Extract:
• Contains Parabens
• This huge tube is not travel friendly
I won’t be repurchasing this as I have another unused tube lying around and most probably I will pass it on to my cousin who has oily skin. I think this will work efficiently for oily and combination skinned beauties but not sure if it will help with acne. Also, this contains parabens so most of us will refrain ourselves from buying it but if you don’t mind it, you can try it for a change.
