You know sometimes curiosity kills me and in order to see the actual shade from these online sites, I end up ordering almost every shade in the range and until then, I get sleepless nights. I know Jordana blushes had some pictures available on Google, but then that was the last straw on the camel’s back (read last paisa in the wallet :stars: ) and I had to get them alllll! :yahoo:

I got freaking and amazing colors available on the site because of four reasons:

  • It did not hurt the pocket much.
  • I am developing a blush fetish.
  • I am actually using blushes every time I use makeup.
  • I am building up my blush collection.

:yahoo: So rejoice blush lovers and Jordana lovers, for you shall be rewarded 😀 These blushes are so buildable and I had a mixed reaction for the shades that I got.  Some were pigmented, some chalky, some average, but none that I wrote off. I think all of the shades I got are very wearable, not over the top, suited to Indian complexions and very affordable and very very buildable.  So, they may not show up much on the finger or on the brush, but once you put it on your skin, these look oh-so-natural looking blush

I have already reviewed Redwood (a very matte carrot-y shade and very pigmented) and Bronze (more of a pearly bronzer and great blush for Indian skin tones and it is extremely pigmented), and now this one.  How many of you fantasize an orange blush, but never dare to get one.  So, come down one notch and get this one in Terracotta, which is a  lust-worthy blush in mild orange, absolutely matte, very flat color and smooth enough, but not very impressive texture wise, but so buildable that it totally blew me off!

Swatch

The shade is a very soft corally color.  I think most of us including dusky beauties can rock this shade considering we have warmer complexions.   Neon and Barbie pink can look like patch work on me for a blush honestly, but anyway, I can use coral-based makeup and still look natural contrary to pinks and blue-based ones especially.

The texture is not so impressive; may be the standard was raised due to the Redwood and Bronze one’s texture, but it is absolutely matte and flat color which makes it so wearable even for office and day wear because there is no shimmer in it at all.  One swipe would give you a natural-looking cheek color and if you are fond of a little texture blush to contour the face, you can really build it up and this is very blendable as well. The result is a very soft and natural-looking blush for warmer skin tones and a kind of orange you can dare to wear.

Do not expect much from the staying power as well since it’s a very soft and a very averagely pigmented shade.  Oily skin will drink it up in 2 hours, but on a drier base, you can see a natural flush for say 3 to 4 hours.  Its really not a problem with me honestly.

Last Word on Jordana Blush Powder – Terracotta:

Don’t expect much from the texture, but do understand that it is very buildable, flat matte and soft for a day look. I think this kind of shade is a must-have for Indian skin tones.  I am not saying get in Jordana, but consider it for a trial and error shade in coral without burning a hole in the pocket.
