My Experience with Jordana Color Effects Eyeshadow Powder Ms. Brown:
Starting with the packaging of the product – the eyeshadow comes in a cute and tiny round plastic pan. The pan is silver in color and has the clear screw on lid. The lid fits fits making it travel friendly. The clear lid helps to spot the shade easily from makeup stash during rush hours, if you own more than one of these eye shadows. These are easy to store and takes very less space in my vanity. The brand’s logo is printed on top of the lid. The base of the pan has a small circular sticker bearing the shade number & its name. It does not come with any applicator but this is not really a con for me as I rarely use those small sponge applicators. Overall, the packaging is basic and there is nothing extra-ordinary or fancy about it.
The shade name “Ms. Brown” itself defines the shade. It is a beautiful dark brown eye shadow having bright golden glitters in it. The glitters are subtle and do not look chunky. The presence of glitters in this eye shadow gives it a glam look making it apt for parties. The color gets dull upon blending, so it needs to be built up properly to show the intense color. It is a beautiful brown eye shadow for a soft smokey eye look. The formula is decently pigmented, two swipes give rich brown color.
The texture of this eye shadow is soft and smooth. It does not feel chalky, but it is slightly powdery in nature. Due to the presence of large glitters, it tends to fallout a lot during application making my eye area messy. It glides smoothly on the eyelids and it is easy to blend. The eyeshadow does not have any creasing issues. It is not waterproof. Also, the shimmers budge after a few hours of application making the entire eye area look glittery.
The longevity of the eye shadow is somewhere around 4-5 hours on my oily eyelids with an eye primer underneath. The eye shadow is easy to wipe off using a makeup remover. The shimmers can be easily removed with a remover and does not leave any traces or shimmers behind.
