Jordana Eyeliner Pencil-Gold and Cappuccino Review

Jordana Eyeliner Pencil-Gold and Cappuccino

Hello cutie-pies,

I wanted to try out a few coloured pencils this summer! On my visit to a beauty shop I saw the Jordana counter full of colourful pencils. There were so many eye and lip pencils to choose from. I picked up few colours. These are pretty affordable so I wouldn’t complain even if they do not work out as expected. Let’s proceed with the detailed review.

Tips and tricks: Apply along lashlines from inner to outer corners of eyes.

Tip: When applying your eye pencil stand or hold a mirror in front of you, slightly tilt your head back and begin drawing a line along your lashline starting from the inner corner to the outer corner of your eye.

My experience with Jordana Eyeliner Pencil-Gold and Cappuccino:

Gold: The liner comes in a gold coloured wooden pencil along with a copper cap. The packaging is nothing fancy but its fine. It is very handy and can be sharpened whenever we want. But there was no provision of a sharpener, so I had to use my own which further led to high product wastage. But the pencil will last for a very long time as the product usage is minimum at a time. It is not an everyday colour. The shade is beautiful shimmery gold in colour. The consistency is creamy and it might chip a little while applying. There is no tugging or pulling with this one. 4-5 strokes are needed for the full colour to show up. The shade is a very mild one. It will not be visible from far. It will only be visible when someone observes closely. But it gives a very delicate look to the eyes. The shimmer in it brightens the whole eye area. It lasts for about 2-3 hours. Then the shimmers slowly start to fade. It doesn’t appear at all on the water-line; and you do not want to rub that delicate part. It is a sweet and delicate shade to try out. But I think other brands may have a better quality, so would love to try out the other brands as well to find a perfect gold pencil.

Cappuccino: The liner comes in a brown coloured wooden pencil along with a copper cap; the packaging is nothing fancy but its fine. It is very handy and can be sharpened whenever we want. The product wastage was pretty low as compared to the other lip and eye pencils that I have used so far. But the pencil will last for a very long time as the product usage is minimum at a time and I don’t apply such colourful liners everyday. This shade is a coppery brown one with metallic finish which looks pretty dark looking at the outer packaging. The eye liner in the pencil looked dark enough. I swatched it on my hand, you will have to apply little pressure to get the colour. The colour on my hand looked pretty with a metallic finish. But when I tried it on my eyes, my hopes were shattered! It seemed like my eyes were bare without any make-up. It blended completely with my skin tone. The consistency is not that creamy; infact it is pretty hard. I think upto 10-11 swipes would be needed for the full colour to show up, and that is something we wouldn’t do on our eyes. I don’t think it will last for more than 1 hour and even if it did no one would be able to see it. This is not at all suitable for waterline; actually not suitable for eyes only. I did not like it all, a total waste and a total disappointment.

-Sharpener was not provided

Will I repurchase/recommend Jordana Eyeliner Pencil-Gold and Cappuccino?

These shades are not recommended. They do not show up well on eyes. Try out these pencils on your eyes rather than your hands before buying.

  1. The gold one shows well, but cappuccino seems a dud product….However, as you wrote that gold one is too creamy, I feel it might be because of the hot weather…:p …I liked it on your eyes….nice reviews Saloni…. 🙂 🙂
