Jordana Eyeliner Pencil in Espresso Review

Hola lovers! 😀

How have you all been? How is the week coming along? Mine went real fast! Or maybe it went real fast because the entire week was a relaxing one for me 😀 Time flies when you are having fun 😛 And not to forget the pleasant weather in Bangalore since a few days! It’s so breezy and cold these days with slight drizzles! Is monsoon already here? *shy* This is the right kind of weather for me to snuggle up under the sheets and get some beauty sleep! Yeah, the only disadvantage of these easy breezy days is that they make me very VERY lazyyy! Like supremely lazy! All I did this week was shop online, eat good food and sleep! *hihi*Did not step out from home! But these days are going to end soon for me! Ohhh yeah when corporate life begins *cry* So, I’m trying to make the most of what I have now 😛 Has anyone watched any movies lately? I want to watch Maleficent! I loooove how Angelina Jolie looks! And I am somehow connected to her character! It’s evil yes but what’s life without some spice in it! If not for her curse, there woudn’t be a story for us.  So if anyone watched the movie, do let me know how it scored! 😀

Anyway, I was just dolling up the other day when I was going out and realized I haven’t reviewed some eyeliners I got a month back! I completely forgot about them. So here I am with another Jordana eyeliner.  It’s called Jordana USA Eyeliner in Espresso. Let’s see if this was a hit or a miss for me.  I am sure you all know about Jordana USA, so I won’t be elaborating much on that now. If you still want to know, refer my previous posts on Jordana USA products.

My Take on Jordana Eyeliner Pencil in Espresso:

I already bought a brown eyeliner from Jordana before this called “Coffee Bean” and that has already been reviewed on IMBB. So, here I will compare both and tell you which one is better.

Packaging:  The packaging is cute with a gold colored cap and the body is color coordinated with the color of the eyeliner.  So pretty easy to locate it that way if you have a stack full of eyeliners ! The pencil is a small one and quite handy. On the whole, travel friendly.

Color and Texture:  The color is very similar to the Coffee Bean one, but this one is lighter. It’s not as pigmented as the Coffee Bean though. It comes out light on application and needs multiple swipes for it to actually show up *shock* The shade is completely matte and glides easily on application.

What I felt after using it for a week now:  Well, it’s a nice brown and all, but I prefer using Coffee Bean more 😛 The reasons are as simple as this 😛 The first reason being that this is not pigmented – it hardly shows up on single application, it needs multiple swipes. Coffee Bean on the other hand is richly pigmented and shows up really well in a single application. The second reason being that this doesn’t stay put for even 2 hours *spank* It starts fading real fast *spank*. Coffee Bean on the other hand stays for almost 5 hours without fading on me 😀 For reference, I have oily lids. One more con is that it is neither smudge-proof nor water proof *nababana*

On the whole, this is a very average product for me. *spank*

Pros of Jordana Eyeliner Pencil in Espresso:

  • Easy on the pocket.
  • Travel friendly.
  • Applies smoothly without tugging.

Cons of Jordana Eyeliner Pencil in Espresso:

  • Not pigmented enough.
  • Needs multiple swipes to actually show up.
  • Not smudge-proof or waterproof.

Would I Repurchase Jordana Eyeliner Pencil in Espresso?

No, I won’t repurchase this one. I already have Coffee Bean which works really well for me and I will stick to that.

I wouldn’t recommend this eyeliner to anyone. There are better brown eyeliners in the market *yes* But if you are looking for a budget-friendly eyeliner, then this can be an option.
