Jordana Glow N’ Go Creamy Strobing Stick Review

I love to wear highlighters as part of my daily makeup routine and for that purpose, I find liquid highlighters most comfortable to wear and to get the right look. I am not very fond of powder highlighters because of the fallout issue; however, highlighters are also available in stick form and the product in this review is one such stick highlighter. Jordana has recently launched a lot of new makeup products and is trying to compete with other drugstore makeup brands. For all those who love to experiment with new makeup products, this is a nice opportunity to try out new things available in makeup aisles.

My Experience with Jordana Glow N’ Go Creamy Strobing Stick:

The product comes in a stick form. The base of the plastic tube can be twisted up to dispense the product and can be applied directly to the cheeks and other high points of face. It can also be picked up with finger tips and with a dense brush too for blending it on to areas that need some extra glow. The feature I love the most about liquid highlighters is that they can be mixed with the base makeup to add a certain luminosity to the skin, but the same cannot be said about highlighters that come in the stick form because it is hard to blend with a liquid base.

Jordana Glow N Go Creamy Strobing Stick

This highlighter comes in a good-sized plastic tube that does not feel too fragile for $4.99. I hope it will last while I use up the entire product. There are 3 shades to choose from – neutral champagne, cool-toned highlighter with pink undertones (shade of the product in this review) and a warm-toned bronze highlighter which can add tan glow to face.

I tested this product on the high points of my face. I dot it on the high points of my cheek points, a tiny amount on the bridge of my nose and residual on my fingers goes on my forehead and my chin. It dries quickly so has to be quickly blended before it sets. I do not like when glitter particles of such products spread all over the place and fortunately that did not happen with this product. However, it does make pores appear larger but since this is true for most of the highlighters, I can make my peace with it. A pore-covering primer is useful in such a case. The annoying part about stick highlighters is that if used directly on cheeks, on top of a blush, it tends to displace the blush underneath and gives a non-homogeneous appearance to makeup.

Pros of Jordana Glow N’ Go Creamy Strobing Stick:

  • It is an affordable face highlighter; which comes in a stick form.
  • It comes in 3 different shades.
  • The quantity is generous for the money paid and the packaging is not cheap either
  • Adds luminosity to face when applied on the high points of face.
  • Easy to blend on bare skin but it is not so blend[able with base makeup underneath.
  • Good, affordable substitute to more expensive, high-end liquid highlighters.
  • Glitter particles in this highlighter do not spread on other parts of the face.

Cons of Jordana Glow N’ Go Creamy Strobing Stick:

  • Does not accentuate facial pores, a good pore-minimizing primer is required underneath.
  • I wish the ingredients list had fewer chemicals (it puts me off when I see a long list of complex-sounding chemicals).
  • Dries quickly, so has to be blended quickly.
  • Displaces base makeup and prevents the blush to blend into the highlighter.

It is a commendable product by Jordana. It has dense and equally minute particles and they do look pretty on skin. However, it is rather hard to blend on base makeup and this can be an issue for some of us but it is still a good product and worth a try.
